I am sorry that I could not be able to meet you also in the few days that I stayed in Berlin for the concert. Unfortunately I had a rather complicated situation that did not allow me to have much flexibility. In fact, right after the concert last night, in the middle of the night, I took the flight home.
But I was very pleased to be able to meet and talk to discuss Thursday's performance (but we didn't just talk about music)... in post-concert occasion or in the night with some friend here that was in my hotel too. Truly a pleasure for me to meet him!!
 
I hope you have fun tonight and tomorrow too! and for sure this will be not the last occasion, I will try to attend other JW concerts.

P.S.: from what I know probabably tomorrow there will be better weather in Berlin. The 14th morning was a pain in the...because of that drizzle. I also had a very small number of changes in clothes or shoes due to my short stay. Then there was also the problem of traffic lights for pedestrians, you could safely "fall asleep" in front of it waiting for the green. In addition they were not very synchronized, if you had to make an "L" you waited whole minutes for the first ten meters and still others to make the corner and so on. Eventually I started crossing everywhere

What a night, what an experience!Such a pleasure to have visited yesterday’s concert and seeing the Maestro conducting the Berlin Philharmonie Orchestra.So happy that I got a ticket in first row and to be so close to the stage!A dream has come true.

This is pretty much the exact same view I had. I was probably setting right beside you!

For those who were on the back of the orchestra, maybe I hope you can see yourself!

Yes. I’ve never heard the runs in Harry Potter as well as yesterday. Also the warmth in their sound is amazing.
 
Also the players were some of the most engaging I’ve ever seen in an orchestra, the leaders always making contact with each other. The concert master did incredible work too and didn’t seem stressed at all (like in Vienna).
 
Only thing is, in a way I felt the sound was more magical in Vienna because of the incredible acoustics there. While the Philharmonie is fantastic still, you can sense it’s a more modern hall. But I’m sure this won’t matter for the recording.

What a great experience I had this evening!
 

I was directly in front. For me the performance of strings was very good. In particular the celli sections that "blended" with all the other sections with a magnific sound. Also I praised a lot the 1st violin. There was only a small "cough" problem near the end of the concert with a player (but this was not a sound related problem..). I loved the performance. The percussions didn't overload the other sections also. A very "balanced" performance within the various sections. The acoustic of the Philharmonie hall for me is amazing!

weeks ago it was perhaps possible only to receive a voucher, now no more and in any case a voucher for me was not a very useful option since I'm not a regular visitors of the Philharmonie.

In any case if anyone is interested in this ticket PM me. I take my flight tomorrow in the early morning for Berlin and the 13th and the 14th I'm there (at the Grimm's hotel...)

a "fan to fan" (without any gain) ticket resale portal administered by them or by those who manage the presale for them, would not have been an unwelcome thing...

I never really understood this autograph thing anyway. Standing in a crowd of people stalking a celebrety to ask for a signature, and then what? I thought anyway this autograph thing has been more or less replaced by this even more intrusive selfie shooting.
 
If a photograph or a signature is a dedication is the result of a pleasant encounter for both sides it is something different. But I guess, that this is quite rare at such concerts. 
 
So, in that regard I am probably a lousy fan.

We'll see if there will be any changes in the setlist, even maybe some last-minute changes.
 
From what I can read at the moment I like this program. Of course there can always be some that I wanted to hear that is missing, but at the same time there is also something that I would not have expected and that instead with pleasure is present (Far and Away Suite).
 
Then there are also "mainstream" like Theme from Jurassic Park, Superman March, Hedwig's Theme and also some variations of famous themes like SWIV Throne Room and End Title. We will also see what will be played in the encores (maybe even with some special surprise guest, who knows...).
 
For now I am happy to be there and that the concert will be held (also considered the covid it was not taken for granted). For me it's also the first time I can see the maestro directing so I'm more than happy!
