The setlist in Berlin was much better with the Elegy, the Theme from Jurassic Park., Yoda´s Theme, Olympic Fanfare and Theme, Far and away Suite and so on...Sound the bells and the ASM Violin Concert is not my favourite Williams Music.

When the brass section starts their first notes too late, it's too late. When the wind section is going bananas and play on their own tempo... that's a problem too.
 
The Vienna Star Wars Theme is the worse version I have ever heard on record!
 
The "sound" is not everything.
 
An orchestra must, at least, play together! It's not a race to find out who's gonna end the first one hehe

That's just artistic liberty.

Sorry, but i have not heard that JW ever say, the VP is perhaps the best orchestra in the world. You may have dreamed it 
 
You have your opinion, i have mine. So what....The most critics see it the same way that the BP is much better than the VP for the music of JW. And i did not read any bad critics in any Newspaper about the Berlin concert all over the world. Everyone was excited. Thats the fact. But maybe they all have no idea, only you

Very mature response. Look, I totally understand that you might prefer the sound of the VPO to the BPO, but you just cannot objectively state that the VPO was better. I am obviously not including Mutter in all these complaints. I do not care how culturally important Vienna thinks it is. Their performance was not good. The moment things got complex, they failed. Over and over again. The Boston Pops did a better job on every piece.

@Lord Montague What about the effect of the hall and the recording engineer or the mix on the music... It's not all about the players. Claiming that the Vienna Phil were more inspired and had more ambition than the Berliners is in my opinion a disservice to the Berlin Phil. They gave their all to JW.

I might only have one working ear right now, but at least I have a sense of tempo and I'm also able play the Star Wars main title on my keyboard without getting completely lost after five seconds due to the incredibly uncomplex speed.

Have you EVER heard an orchestra fuck that picece up like the VPO did? Or the end of ET? Or the beginning of Hook? The horns literally miss their first ever note!

Thats ridiculous to say the VP were more inspired and had more ambition than the BP. This is the exclusive opinion from Lord Montague. Allmost all critics see it completely different...

@Lord Montague: Thats your Opinion. But many see that not so. The BP is the more American Orchestra like Vienna. And thats not bad for Williams Music. 
And what did John Williams say in Berlin ? He said the BP is maybe the best Orchestra in the World 
 
And there are other Soloists except Wenzel Fuchs. Here are the others for you: 
1. Violin: Noah Bendix-Balgley, 2. Violin: Marlene Ito, Viola: Amihai Grosz, Cello: Bruno Delepelaire and Olaf Maninger, Doublebass: Janne Saksala, Trumpet: Guillaume Jehl, Trombone: Olaf Ott.
Tuba: Alexander von Puttkamer,  Pauke: Wieland Welzel, Drums: Raphael Haeger and Franz Schindlbeck were also all on Board.
 
Only Flute, Oboe and Bassoon were not occupied with Soloists. 
 
I cannot imagine that it was any different in Vienna. There were no Honeck, no Steude and no Danailova. Thats not good...The other Soloists from Vienna i don´t know....But i think there were also missing a lot others...
