  1. I remember listening out for some of these sections when I last watched the movie but they did not show up where expected (e.g. the climactic horse race, where the music is quite different from that heard in the narrated suite). I therefore assume that Williams composed those portions specially for the suite. These pieces do not appear in the film at all, so they're probably composed for the suite, and they certainly sound like concert versions. However, I don't know if it's also possible that they're originally alternates and unused? I should check the liner notes of my Stage & Screen CD. Whatever's the case, they seem to complement the album rather than 'replace' cues already on the album: The first piece seems to fit the scene where Ned takes the car for a wild drive, which in the film is underscored with silly source music. The second piece seems to fit the (first) horse race quite well (though it's slightly longer), which goes unscored in the film.
  2. That is a prior warning. Does that mean they won't come out?
  3. That looks really terrific. Very glad this finally gets an official expanded release!
  4. MillenniuM Volume 2! Incredible! And Searching for Bobby Fischer! I wonder if there's enough worthy material beyond the soundtrack. Oh, and A.I. is kind of nice as well I guess.
  5. Ah, if I'd known I'd have recorded it. Or are they going to air it again on TV.
  6. Nah, it's the same as a decade ago, you just suck at spelling!
  7. Steef, very sorry to hear that. I hope it can be controlled to an extent, and you get to feel a bit better in the near future. I also think you should bear in mind your responsibility towards JWFan: your illness is not allowed to get any worse, you hear.
  8. My thoughts exactly: they actually really want to get back to 1985! Varèse's business practices lately are hilarious.
  9. Does anyone know what's next in line in these series? (Besides The Blue Max, I think.)
  10. This is one of my favourite James Horner soundtracks. Part of it is that this, together with Patriot Games, was one of the first scores of his that I got to know, so the 'borrowings' didn't (and still don't) bother me. Still, it's surely one of the most dynamic and varied scores of his, with a couple of great highlights. "The Ambush" in itself is probably his best build-up action cue he ever composed. For me personally, I can't think of a better album Intrada put out in the last couple of years.
  11. No it would be funny if Sony mixed them up and came to 59 CDs in this way.
  12. Here it is copy-pasted from that thread with the additional easter egg info: Main Title Barn Burn Ben Takes the Stage / Dan's Burden Stagecoach Crash (alternate) Charlie Prince Where's the Doughbro? Wading into Bisbee Saving McElroy Bisbygliando One for the Road / Storm Clouds Ben There, Done That Man of His Word Ben Arrested Flight of the Princess William Escapes Trial by Fire Indian Grounds Chinatown Chinese Democracy 4m8/5m0 Prickly Pear [LLL Easter Egg] Hotel Gang Arrives Fistful of Dollars Bad to the Bone / Fireside Chat One Man Left It's Time Bible Study Who Let the Cows Out? The 3:10 to Yuma
  13. Only took a quick look at them, and I think not. I spotted that at the FSM board myself as well, but it doesn't take into account the joined cues I believe.
  14. Anybody know how to put LLL's 3:10 to Yuma in order? Or has there been a complete bootleg or cue list available?
  15. Fall of the Roman Empire - definitely recommended as well!
  16. Hopefully it's a celebration of one of film music's most iconic 90s years!
  17. The Fall of the Roman Empire Here's how you can put the LLL Records CD in order. This sequencing is also in the booklet, but my list takes into account which cues flow into the next on the CD, and there are one or two edits you can make. Fanfares and Flourishes Overture Aurelius Awaits Dawn / Arrival of Livius / Lucilla and Livius Pax Romana Dawn of Love The Signal to March Barbarian Ambush 1 & 2 Lucilla's Sorrow Profundo Passing the Torch The Roman Forum / Triumph and End of Part 1 The Fall of Love Intermission Notturno Ballomar's Barbarian Attack * Addio Morning / The Prophecy ** Persian Battle Resurrection Tarantella Commodus Deified The Fall of Rome The Fall of Love (Album Version) * You can edit the two "Ballomar's Barbarian Attack" tracks into one: use the first half of "Ballomar's Barbarian Attack" and mix into "Ballomar's Barbarian Attack - Part 2". Reason is track 5 on the CD appears to be an album edit, containing the middle section of part 1 and the second half of part 2. So if you'd use both tracks entirely, you'd end up with a minute of the same music. ** "Morning" and "The Prophecy" are separate tracks on the LLL, but they're put together on the Tadlow rerecording, so I mirrored that in my edit.
  18. "de" mijne? That is more Russian than Dutch then.
  19. Excellent news! But please tell me this will be a region-free Blu-ray release?
  20. It's a rubbish choice and edit. Someone should have Thomas Newman compose new logo music!
