The greatest ever travesty was that he never became Sir John Barry. People have gotten knighthoods for less.

The legend of John Barry will never die. His music shall live on in our hearts forever. John, it was pleasure seeing you conduct the Goldfinger theme and We have all the time in the World theme in Dublin 2 years ago. For us film score fanatics...John...WE have all the time in the world for your music. You will be sorely missed in the film music world and your 5 Oscars are a testament to your outstanding contribution to the medium. If I have to play one Barry track today, I will make it the theme from "Out of Africa"...a score and movie that I adore and love so much. R.I.P. John Barry.
