Last night I gave a pre-concert talk at the La Jolla Music Society. My talk was on Galileo, telescopes, the observatory where I work, etc. The concert was by the Taffelmusik Baroque Orchestra, with their program The Galileo Project. It was a wonderful mix of music from the time of Galileo, modern astronomical photographs and dramatic reading of some of Galileo's writings. It was an excellent show. Their closing piece by J.S. Bach really rocked and brought the audience to its feet. If you want to hear some of the music & narration you should visit this page.

Amazon just emailed me saying that the release date for Bear McCreary's "Battlestar Galactica - The Plan / Razor" has been pushed back and that my estimated arrival date February 26 2010 - March 02 2010.

Moon. I enjoyed it very much. Interesting score too by Clint Mansell . I shall go and see if there was a release for it.

It is already sold out.
