Williams debuts "Helena's Theme" from Indiana Jones 5 at the Hollywood Bowl
Disco Stu replied to Jay's topic in JOHN WILLIAMS
Waller-Bridge is firmly in daughter territory, not granddaughter, with Ford being 43 years older than her, to be a granddaughter would require him to have had a child as a teenager and then that child to have had Waller-Bridge by their mid-20s. But either way, I don't think Mangold would pull a Mutt -
Absolutely obsessed with Raiders of the Lost Ark right now

Am I literally the only person who loves "Adventures of Mutt" without reservations? Feels kinda lonely, but I stand firm in my correct opinion! -
What Is The Last Score You Listened To? (older scores)
Disco Stu replied to Ollie's topic in General Discussion
Regulations require me to butt in and say that I'm still a big fan of "Adventures of Mutt" and "Irina's Theme." Carry on. -
I was listening to the Crystal Skull OST this morning and remembered that one or two people were bad-mouthing "Adventures of Mutt" on this thread. They couldn't be more wrong! It's easily among my favorite new Williams themes post-2005. Fizzy, hyperactive fun. It's just a delight from beginning to end.

"The Adventures of Mutt" is like 20 seconds longer than the OST track, right? A lot can happen in 20 seconds with such frenetic music. I really can't believe there are two different arrangements of "With Malice Toward None" instead of having a second selection from Lincoln be "The People's House" (my favorite concert piece from that score). They really should have just done all three concert pieces (including "Getting Out the Vote")! Anyway, I'm guessing by the lengths of the two tracks that track 4 is the one based around the solo trumpet and track 16 is the arrangement that spotlights the string section.

"Hymn to the Fallen" "The Lost World" "Dry Your Tears Afrika" "Where Dreams Are Born" "Escapades (Catch Me If You Can)" "A New Beginning" "The Tale of Viktor Navorski" "The Adventures of Mutt" "The Homecoming" "The People's House" And hopefully several others! I really hope this means the new BFG concert suite gets a really nice recording! I'm so excited if a "Spielberg/Williams Collaboration Vol. 3" happens!

He should cast Tom Hanks as Shia Lebeouf's original adoptive father, who it turns out isn't dead after all. "I intended Mutt to be a sort of godson of Forrest Gump."

Which, of these choices, is your favorite Indiana Jones Track?
Disco Stu replied to ColonelVogel's topic in JOHN WILLIAMS
I would call neither my favorite but both 'Call of the Crystal' and 'The Adventures of Mutt' deserve a place on the list!
