I couldn't find a relevant thread with the search function (and believe me, I looked) so I'm posting this here: http://www.empireonline.com/news/feed.asp?NID=23521 If an upcoming projects thread already exists this will need moving, but if not then I guess we now have a place to discuss future movies which aren't necessarily anything to do with John Williams, Indiana Jones or Spielberg etc and all in one tidy thread.

Seemed to make sense to me to have a thread for general MCU news, rather than putting it all in Future Films thread, especially since each entry doesn't get their own thread, etc, and it's a popular film series with lots of news coming out all the time. Rian Johnson will direct a modern day Agathie Christie inspired murder mystery starring Daniel Craig called "Knives Out" before regrouping with Disney for his new Star Wars trilogy -
Steven Spielberg to Direct Sci-Fi Epic ‘Old Man's War' after the one he’s supposed to be shooting next year. I don't know how reliable this is, but if the major trades starts reporting the same it deserves its own thread, I feel.

Some news regarding the sequel: The first Tintin has been very successful around the world. Mr. Jackson is very caught up in The Hobbit for a while. Assuming that it’s a success in America, when do you envision a sequel being able to move forward? Is it being moved forward right now? Kennedy: Oh yeah it is being moved forward, in fact Steven and I were talking about it this morning. We’re working on a script right now, we’ll see a script probably February or March. Star Wars Announces New Films Including Dawn of the Jedi from Logan Director Lucasfilm announces a slew of new Star Wars movies, including Dawn of the Jedi which will be helmed by Logan director James Mangold. A bevy of new Star Wars movies are in production. Announced as a part of Star Wars Celebration 2023, the trio of movies will span a time period of 5000 years, stretching across multiple eras of the galaxy far, far away. While details are still slim, one of these is already titled Dawn of the Jedi and will be directed by James Mangold.
