Planet of the Apes does not deserve to be on that list. STTMP would make more sense.

See no LotR

The omission of TMP is much more heinous than the omission of LotR.

I was just saying that because I think Planet of the Apes didn't deserve to be on any good scores lists. I knew I'd have a ton of JG fans killing me, so I said TMP would be sufficient. In truth, there really isn't any JG score I'd want on that list.

There's a few Goldsmith scores that deserve it,like The Omen,Poltergeist and Star Trek TMP,and maybe some of his earlier stuff like Sand Pebbles and Patton.

Planet of the Apes is totally unlistenable on it's own

If I were to pick up one score from each composer, there would be:

John Williams: "The Empire Strickes Back";

Jerry Goldsmith (I am lame when it comes to JG, I know to little from him, but nevertheless my favourite would be): "Chinatown";

Hans Zimmer: "Thin Red Line";

Danny Elfman: "Batman";

James Horner: "Braveheart";

James Newton Howard: "The Village";

David Arnold: "Stargate"

Howard Shore: "Fellowship of the Ring" [complete];

John Debney: "Cutthroat Island";

Vangelis: "Blade Runner";

John Barry: "On Her Majesty's Secret Service";

Wojciech Kilar: "Portrait of a Lady";

Ennio Morricone: "The Mission";

Michal Lorenc "Psy 2"

Goran Bregovic: "Arizona Dream";

and many many more, some of which were mentioned before... [my knowledge of some great composer is still appalling enough to prevent me from say anything about them and their works]

And forgive my earlier comment - a different, much smaller and completely unrelated image was showing in that post yesterday :blink:

I know, when I first posted it, it looked fine on my computer. Then I came back later and saw what you must've seen. No worries, though at first I thought you were doing the unthinkable in questioning E.T. ;)
