As good as T2 is, I think there are some feminist undertones in it.

So?

Well, probably the most obvious one being Hamilton's speech to the guy from Cyberdyne. Regardless, I think Die Hard is more of a Man's movie.

Oh, you mean because I asked for a Men's Movie.

Still, it means that perhaps T2 has at least one merit.

Which brings up another point though: Could Thelma and Louise be seen as a Men's Movie? :D

Also, one of the best villains of the nineties.

And Die Hard has one of the best villians of the 80's

Yes.

It also looks fantastic. No TV is big enough to truly show off Die Hard. It belongs on the big screen.

Yes, did you know it was shot by the famous Dutch cinematographer Jan de Bont?

He later directed Speed, Speed II and The Haunting.

Of course I did. He later worked with McTiernan again on The Hunt for Red October, another fine-looking film.

I love the use of lens flares in Die Hard too.

That they do.

The man was an excellent cinematographer.

Too bad he abandoned it for directing. Speed was excellent for what it was, but he never really did anything great after that.

Twister isn't that bad. It may be filld with a bunch of cliché’s but it's a fun film to watch.

Isn't Jan supposed to be making some kind of comeback? I'm sure he's making some kind of Shark attack movie, could be wrong though, I may have dreamt it.

I agree with you guys though that his photography was brilliant. I love the look of the movies in that era.

He was attached to MEG but that film has been in limbo hell for awhile.

I think he withdrew from the project, it's almost similar to what happened with Godzilla before D&E got a hold of it.

Comeback as a director or as a DP? I'd welcome one of these options.

I love Speed, but his talents as a DP seem to be far superior to his talents as director (I can't accurately judge- I've only seen his first three films).
