Hmm, lifetime achievement award for Spielberg? Maybe they're trying to end his career before he makes more Indiana Jones films and squanders what little respect he has left!

Why on earth did they have music from Gladiator over the Minority Report clip? and some generic MV stuff over Munich?

Yeah, weird. It was also funny to note the blatantly overlapping music in the Indy clips.

I gave up 24 after season two, and in less than two weeks I felt happier, less tired, and more intelligent.

Morlock- who liked to see Waltz with Bashir and Collin Farrell get acknowledged, and loved Farrell's jittery speech

...but those who do, absolutely love it.

Did this ever happen in any award?

I've never heard of it. I know that Helen Mirren won for playing both Queen Elizabeth's in the same year, but one was in film, one TV.

And Slumdog swept! I can't recall the last time a single film got 4 awards at the GGs. I'm generally more interested in the show...except I've seen very few of the films.

Wow. Same actress wins both actress and supporting actress. Don't recall that ever happening before.

It has actually happened in the Golde Globes before. Sigourney Weaver won for both Gorillas in Misdt and Working Girl, and ended up losing both oscars (to Jodie Foster and Geena Davis).

Oh, God. Don't remind Hitch of that, please!
