Edmilson 7,457 Posted February 24, 2020 Share Posted February 24, 2020 Last decade, in amidst all the CGI chaos, we still thankfully had some amazing action scenes, from epic super-hero battles to lightsaber duels to martial arts fights, chases, etc. So, what were your favorites? What were the most well directed, well choreographed action scenes that made your blood pump over the last decade? Here's my choices, in chronological order: The moving hallway fight from Inception (2010) I was never that much of a fan of Nolan's action scenes, specially on the Batman movies, but this one is pretty amazing, thanks in no small part to Zimmer's dramatic score. Wolves attack village on Kung Fu Panda 2 (2011) Outrageously funny mix between Jackie Chan and a Looney Tunes cartoon. The kitchen fight from The Raid 2 (2014) One of the most amazing martial arts scenes ever put to screen. The final chase from Mad Max Fury Road (2015) The entire movie could be here, but I really love the climax. The warehouse battle from Batman v Superman (2016) The movie is trash, but this is the best action scene involving Batman ever made. Rey and Kylo vs Praetorian Guards from Star Wars The Last Jedi (2017) Direction, cinematography, choreography, score, everything about this scene is a masterpiece. Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy vs Thanos from Avengers Infinity War (2018) The Avengers movies have lots of crowdpleasing moments, from the Battle of NY on the 2012 movie to the Airport fight on Civil War, but in terms of super-powered battles, this is by far my favorite. It was amazing watching this on the IMAX theater, like one of the super-hero cartoons I've watched on my childhood coming to life. The escape from Casablanca from John Wick 3 Any scene from the Wick movies could be on this list, but I decided to put this one because I love watching doggos slaughtering some bad guys, lol.
