You never specified that. I know there are a bunch of classical composers with difficult personalities, but one with a Bernstein connection? I'm stumped.

Bernstein and Mahler were both directors of the NY PHILHARMONIC - forty years apart.

More importantly, LB almost single handedly restored Mahler to the reportory!
