No, I like the original. I just don't see the point of turning it into a franchise. I feel like point has been made over 40 years ago. The sequel, while decent, didn't really add that much.

That's really my problem with it. 2049 didn't say anything the first film didn't say, but better. It lacks generative development. I also found it a visual bore in comparison to the original.
