Morlock 11
3 great scores. One great movie, one very good movie, and one good movie. Morlock- who 3 days ago popped Home Alone into his CD player in honor of the first rain of the season, and is loving every minute of it (though anything Dan Hobgood likes is suspect in my eyes...) Lurker 5
Perhaps I should clarify. That is the anniversary of the film releases, not the album releases.Neil

Trumpeteer 302
Three very good films, though I think CE3K drags a little at the beginning.Home Alone and Harry Potter are in my top 10 score list.Jeff -- who will isten to all three this week
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 10,265
Three very good films, though I think CE3K drags a little at the beginning.I prefer to say that it's "building story, plot and tension".

Ray Barnsbury 8
And I'm guessing yours are Home Alone and PotterHow well you know me. Ray Barnsbury-who hasn't listened to CE3K nearly enough
pixie_twinkle 48
CE3K is the best of the three, both score AND film (original, not SE). However I think the score to Home Alone is inspired. Home Alone 2 has it beat though IMO. The music for Duncan's Toy Store is wonderfully appropriate! And the song Christmas Star gives me goosebumps. Bach: Herr Gott, dich loben wir. Morlock 11
I think Home Alone 2 is one of Williams least impressive scores. The first is an absolute masterpiece though.
Marian Schedenig 8,212
The first one is great, the second is perhaps even better.Marian - who probably has HP:PS and CE3K in his Williams top 10. The Two Towers (Howard Shore)
Ray Barnsbury 8
I think the second would more widely be considered a masterful score if it wasn't a sequel score. It has everything the first does, plus more great themes, action music, etc. But since the original does exist, and a lot of the great music in the sequel is borrowed, it's more liable to be disregarded.Ray Barnsbury
Morlock 11
And I think rightfully so. The first one is perfect, inspired. The second is just too much of the same thing all over again. Some great new material, but not nearly enough.
Ray Barnsbury 8
Yes, I agree. But I listen to the second just as much, enjoying it independently.Ray Barnsbury
King Mark 3,631
Most of CE3K is not an eazy listen, but I love it.I find Home Alone 2 tiresome to listen on the most part, but I like some cues quite a bit.We really need a complete HPPS release, second only to ToD in importance.K.M.
