  1. i did some spot checking and every one of them i tried worked. Thank you for taking the time to that. This is a treasure. oops. spoke too soon. the prequel links seem good, but Star Wars & ESB are mostly broken (if not all). Some (if not all) of the ROTJ links are good. Wish i could help.
  2. I deserve that. Right. I just thought they were on an album at one point. Kinda like how Jerry Golldsmith had to share a soundtrack album with pop songs in the mid 80s. I'm clearly getting old.
  3. ok. I'm getting old and senile it seems. I am having a false memory of a soundtrack album that included the songs from the movie. No wonder everyone is looking at me with apprehension. Here are the songs. SpaceCamp (1986) - Soundtracks - IMDb
  4. Thank you!! I cannot tell you how much I appreciate being able to listen to these in the context of where they were intended to be placed. I don't mind going through the discussion to find each link but having them all organized at the beginning is so convenient. I wondered if i had lost my access when some of the links didn't work and showed up as private. Doing the Lord's work here...
  5. I got mine today. Yay! Looks great. Still wish we had the original album included.
  6. As a mega JW fan (father) and equally mega JW (son) fan, I was hoping the three songs JW composed and performed for the film would appear somehow. Did Joseph help with the score as well? Ala ROTJ?
  7. I got my cd tonight! And So tonight was the night I listened to the alternate Fortress track. I'm not sure I can use words to describe. This wasn't just an alternate track, this was a total different interpretation of the scene, musically-speaking. And it has it's own identity, just like every track in that amazing score. and how special is it? This is Williams in his "ultimate prime", between Star Wars and Empire. Doing something new and wonderful with the freakin' LSO! A completely new track of prime-Williams! Reminds me of when they found those Superman IV Jeremy arrangements. But better.
  8. Has anyone received their copy yet? Still waiting on mine.
  9. i have the blue box, but this packaging is amazing. and i have never owned Superman iv as a complete and separate score. so I'll buy it again. And I'd buy the others in separate packing as well. And, I'd love to have Superman iv on vinyl too, cause i bought the originals 1,2 and3 on vinyl way back in the day. Wonderful!!!
  10. Still trying to figure out if i can listen to a 5.1 mix of this score (And whether or not that would be of any value, or if the mix was ever intended to be 5.1)?
  11. I'm not sure if the Roku sticks support 5.1 though. That seems to be the catch with all these Movies Anywhere devices. It should be renamed "Stereo Anywhere". I "think" the only surround-sound equipped devices are Apple-devices and Google-play-devices. At least that is what i have learned so far. But i only just signed up for Movies Anywhere on my PC last weekend so i'm still digging.
  12. Thanks Jay! I am actually researching with Movies Anywhere device is the cheapest just so i can have a 5.1 mix of this score. Does this level of obsession get me my JWFAN membership card?
  13. That's so cool. I've met Joe a couple times. I try not to say anything about his dad as i'm sure that gets old. But at one of the Toto concerts i went to in late 2015, a Toto fan asked Joe about Force Awakens and he said his dad was working on the score at that exact moment and was talking to Joe about it. And at another concert someone asked if John Williams had listened to the new Toto album (XIV) and Joe did an impression of his dad. He said something like "it sounds good for that particular idiom/genre". Everyone had a good laugh. Actually Toto has a lot of family ties with John Williams. I believe Johnny Williams played piano on some Marty Paich albums (father of David Paich who plays lead keys and sings - think Africa!). And Joe Porcaro was a great percussionist in Hollywood (father of Jeff, Mike and Steve Porcaro) and played on many film scores including John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith, etc. And of course, we wouldn't have Lapti Nek or those great SpaceCamp songs without Joe! I love me some Toto as much as I love John Williams. And love the connection.
  14. Has anyone taken a crack at creating an ultimate Last Jedi soundtrack? So now we have three legit sources of music: 1. Score CD 2. FYC CD 3. Isolated Score In my perfect world, we'd have the score as originally conducted by Williams, without the edits. If edits have to be there, then i would make sure anything that was edited out of the score as heard in the film would at least be captured as an alternate or bonus track at the end. I'm not handy enough to do something like this myself, but wondered if anyone else has taken a shot at this. I know someone was working on a combination of the Score & FYC CD. Does the Isolated Score add anything new to that equation? (Sorry if i'm repeating questions - i'm a new poster but long-time lurker.)
  15. The reason for trying to get the 5.1 mix is that I have a nice DVD-Audio system in my car and love the sound of 5.1 mixes. So i'd like to take a crack at getting a copy of that mix for listening pleasure. I bought the CD soundtrack and the 4K Blu-Ray set, so I own everything. Just need a way to a) play the isolated score back in 5.1 AND b) save it to a multi-channel WAV/FLAC file somehow. Any ideas? It seems half the problem is the browser itself. But I do see on Dolby's website some 5.1 content that plays in the browser and you do hear all the channels (and I can see them when I record those content files with Audacity). But when I play the SW:TLJ isolated score, I only get L&R channels. Nothing else. If anyone has any ideas where I can get some assistance with this effort, i'd appreciate it greatly and would be happy to share my findings.
