I guess they were tired of giving him the Oscar every single year Midnight Express beat Superman for God's sake. I still cry thinking about it. If you think about it he could have won 5 oscars from 1977 to 1982 In 1977 he could have won for either Star Wars or Close Encounters (they chose Star Wars) In 1978 he should have won for Superman In 1980 he should have won for Empire Strikes back In 1981 he should have for Raiders of the Lost Ark In 1982 he won for E.T

I would kill for the Superman recordings, especially the "Love Theme"

Yeah, that SKY TG24 report, it's a clear sign them or the theather itself MUST have a full recording of the concert. There were camera cuts to the orchestra as well SKY has an "Arte" TV channel in Italy as well.... Maybe there's a chance they broadcast it someday

I've got mail today..... I'm listening to this with a stupid smile on my face.... Unbelievable audio quality, I know this score backwards and i'm hearing instruments I never heard before.... It's like Christmas three months later....

Ok thank you, let's use "Tracks" (combos of cues) then.... What makes me sad is that most people only remember the iconic main title march, but I listed some tracks that are even better IMO
