Not to mention Santa Claus: The Movie, Prancer, Jingle All the Way, The Muppet Christmas Carol (Michael Caine is awesome as usual), either version of Miracle on 34th Street, and that Olivia Newton John movie A Mom for Christmas is good for a laugh.

Almost every series that goes on for a long while does a little retconning here and there.
