indy4 160 Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 According to Varese's website, Midway has 330 copies left. I would get it now while it's on sale ($15 instead of $20).

#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,391 Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 I am NOT going to buy it, even if it drops below 80!Because I already have it.
crocodile 9,724 Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 You don't want another one? What kind of fan are you? I buy War Horse soundtrack every week. Karol
Marian Schedenig 11,695 Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 The scary thing is, I already have nearly everything I'm interested in from that whole selection.
crocodile 9,724 Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 That's how I felt when Intrada had a big sale last month. I just didn't care enough about the titles to buy anything. But then, I barely purchased any albums in the past few months. Hopefully, more interesting titles will start coming out soon.Karol

Jay 46,245 Posted May 26, 2015 Author Posted May 26, 2015 Added A.I. Artificial Intelligence to the main post. I suggest buying it as soon as it goes on sale Tuesday, June 16th at 12:00PM PST, because I think the 3,000 run will sell out fairly quickly.
filmmusic 3,270 Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Ok, I saw a funny thing looking at the main post.Family Plot gets 5000 copies (of course it's Varese and not la-laland) and A.I. gets 3000! (someone would think it should be the opposite)But again, there wasn't any previous release of Family Plot so I guess it can be explained.
Jay 46,245 Posted May 27, 2015 Author Posted May 27, 2015 I was shocked when I saw AI was limited to 3,000. I would have thought 3,500 or 4,000 for sure
Koray Savas 2,260 Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Maybe they low balled it to be safe and will subsequently reissue another 1,000 if it sells out. Seems to be working out for them on the big titles. I'm sure they didn't expect to be sitting on those last few hundred copies of Hook for years.

With all the missing music and the film stem material on it might have scared off a few customers.
Jay 46,245 Posted June 1, 2015 Author Posted June 1, 2015 Added Quartet's new re-issue of The Long Goodbye to the main post

Jay 46,245 Posted November 30, 2015 Author Posted November 30, 2015 Added Lost In Space, Jaws 2, Jaws, and Home Alone to the main post. Also noticed that A Guide For The Married Man sold out: 2000: A Guide For the Married Man (1967) [3000 Copies]: Less than 20 copies!!! <---- SOLD OUT And finally the Blue Box Second Edition is available again so I removed the SOLD OUT moniker.
filmmusic 3,270 Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Added Lost In Space, Jaws 2, Jaws, and Home Alone to the main post. For a moment there I thought there were low quantity alerts about these!Phew!
Jay 46,245 Posted November 30, 2015 Author Posted November 30, 2015 Oooh, sorry to scare you like that! I think its possible Intrada could sell out both Jaws sets by next summer. Doug posted something that seemed to me to indicate they could only press 5,000 copies of each
Luke Skywalker 2,386 Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 eeek!I hope i receive them soon then...
Wojo 2,458 Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Well if you're Australian, next summer is in three weeks, so... Yes, get buying.
Koray Savas 2,260 Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 I would imagine that Jaws would be capped at the maximum of 10,000 units. I mean, if Black Sunday can...
Jay 46,245 Posted December 1, 2015 Author Posted December 1, 2015 Here's the quote by Doug I was referring to: Just a premature heads up - no alarm intended - but based on the activity with Back To The Future Part II and Jaws 2 (and from our earlier experience with Back To The Future Part I, I hope people can prioritize their purchasing so as to include this incredible set without too much delay. Quite honestly, I anticipate we'll sell the absolute maximum number of units allowable per the current AFM agreements, in pretty rapid manner. http://www.intrada.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=74385#p74385 And more importantly, this followup quote from MV: Posted: Nov 18, 2015 - 10:05 PM By: La La Land Records (Member) New rules went into effect Aug 15, 2015 of this year. Now the limit is 5,000 units with NO payment and then you gotta pay the full pop if you go beyond 5,000. That rule applies to anything released before Aug 14, 2005 http://filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?forumID=1&threadID=112702

Jay 46,245 Posted December 1, 2015 Author Posted December 1, 2015 Home Alone will probably be in print for at least 5 years

So now they don't have to pay any for up to 5,000 units?
filmmusic 3,270 Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 How much could be "in pretty rapid manner"?2 weeks?1 month?2 months?
Xander Harris 9,677 Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 It's not a low quantity, but I happened upon some amazing deals on the Irwin Allen box set. Too bad I don't need it.https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=the+fantasy+worlds+of+irwin+allen+cds&tbm=shop&spd=2246890814315305509
That_Bloke 183 Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Your solstice is on the same day as our winter one.Oh wait, I think I see the source of confusion...In Australia we deem our seasons to start on the first day of certain months: 1 Dec for Summer, 1 Mar for Autumn (kk, "Fall"), 1 Jun for Winter, and 1 Sep for Spring. I think in the US the seasons are deemed to start based on the dates of the solstices and equinoxes. Just like the dates of our Mothers' Day and Fathers' Day different from the US.Please correct/clarify with the US situation. And look... it's my 100th post!!!!! Gee-wow!
Wojo 2,458 Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 It's not a question of America versus Australia. It's right versus wrong. It's astronomical. Period.
