Marian Schedenig 8,198
Stuck in MachinariumWhich part? Awesome little game, that one.I should finish that someday.Recently completed Broken Age, after the second act was finally released. Beautiful game. I liked the concept of most of the second part being set in the same locations as the first part, just with swapped characters. But sadly it means that there wasn't much new music. Quintus 5,399
ok, Bloodborne is harder than Dark Souls. This is gonna take patiencebut you don't have to kill every enemy, and you can run past them is they're too hard for your levelI haven't begun Bloodborne yet but I heard the key difference between it and Souls is that you have to be aggressive in this game rather than defensive as you were in that game. Gunplay not swordplay.

Gunplay not swordplay. The gun is essentially a shield. You either have a blunderbuss or a pistol, but yes, the perfect timing of a shot is what stuns your enemy and leaves them open to a devastating visceral attack. The gameplay is really fun, which is something I could never really say for the Souls games. You really have to be in a focused mindset to succeed in Bloodborne though, and that's not usually what I want after a long day at work. One of the reasons I put it on hold. The other new feature that I like is that if you get hit, you can regain your health if you immediately attack back. I was thinking about it the other day (eve of the DLC); after putting in the amount of hours I have done (over 500) I can't see how it can be anything but my all time favourite video game. I put all my level points in Health (hit points) and Endurance (Stamina). I rarely use the gun so far but the molotov cocktails have been a great use in killing the bossesBut I'll try to master the gun since it will probably become essential

The Gatling gunner in Old Town isn't an actual boss, but I died more times from him than any of the real boss fights.I haven't found the Hemlock Witch yet. I've been avoiding Amelia because I here the world gets a lot harder once you kill her. So I've been doing as much of the side areas as possible. King Mark 3,631
I was lucky with the Gatling gunner. He fell down the tower and died.I use the Saw Spear weapon but I just wasted 4 skill points in STR just to see if I like the Kirkhammer..and it's not as fast... crap. I also tried the threaded cane but I thought it sucked
Koray Savas 2,251
Saw cleaver for me. I tried out the Kirkhammer too and it's too slow and inaccurate. You need perfect timing for that.
King Mark 3,631
I made 2 more attempts on Vicar Amelia and got her on the second try...quite easily. The trick is sticking close to her because she can kill you instantly with several cheap attacks if you go too far from her. I never stunned her or anything, just circled to her back and hacked awayI also upgraded the saw spear to +6 before

King Mark 3,631
I'm almost finished Bloodborne. One last optional area to check out then the ending (not sure if I still have to fight something)The most difficult boss in the game was the spider, where I died about 10 times. I killed all the bosses following it in one tryOverall I didn't like it as much as Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2. It felt like a re-hash of these games in a Victorian setting I liked a lot less

King Mark 3,631
Well this reviewer found Bloodborne harder than Souls games:http://gamecritics.com/richard-naik/bloodborne-reviewI dunno, maybe I played so much of the other ones I knew how to approach it . There's also areas where you can level up easily and I was pretty powerful at the end of the game. Most important advice :you need to max out Health Points (Vitality between 40 and 50 points) in this game if you want breathing room to surviveAnyways I went back and killed all the optional bosses and now I'm really finished and watched the credits .The game took me only 45 hours, pretty short compared to Dark Souls 2 (about 140 hours)Next game.... Koray Savas 2,251
It's definitely easier and more engaging, largely in part to the more densely populated world and much faster maneuvering. Speaking of difficulty though, I'm honestly having more trouble with parts of The Witcher 3. Don't want to, but thinking of knocking the difficulty down to Normal.
King Mark 3,631
Witcher 2 had relatively difficult combat compared to other games. I expect Witcher 3 to be the same. I usually play on Normal anyways unless it becomes too easy (I switched to hard in Dragon Age Inquisition)How is Witcher 3 anyways?
Koray Savas 2,251
It's okay. A bit too high fantasy for my tastes. Combat is a little clunky and imprecise. I often myself having trouble trying to open chests and stuff because your character never perfectly lines up for the button to appear. Annoying stuff like that. Wojo 2,453
The dynamic shadows and lighting on the dog look neat, but whether that's in game engine or just trailer cutscene footage is unclear. It looks so much like Fallout 3, but I guess that's good because it shows the same type of post apocalyptic holocaust reached every corner of the nation after the war. If both major factions from Fallout 3, namely the Enclave and Brotherhood, show up in Boston also, it's going to feel very contrived and convenient. The factions in Fallout 2 and New Vegas have no business being in Boston, so we should be seeing new groups vying for power. I just want it to be more than just Skyrim with guns. I fear it won't be.
Koray Savas 2,251
That's all clearly in game footage. Fallout doesn't have cut scenes.I wonder if you'll still have the same character creation screens, since the character is voice acted at the end of the trailer. Unless it's like Destiny and you choose your voice and everything. If this game is exactly the same as Fallout 3, I'll be happy. Anything else is just a bonus. Wojo 2,453
I clearly referred to cutscenes created for the trailer. Besides, the opening video of Fallout New Vegas, in which the Courier is shot, counts as a cutscene, albeit rendered in game. I would at least like to see the character control wheel from New Vegas return, where you don't have to enter a full conversation to access their inventory. Koray Savas 2,251
I feel like if they wanted to render a trailer instead of capturing it in-game, they would have gone all out. Nothing is visually impressive here, it's what Fallout is in all its glory. I'm just hoping it has a solid frame rate.
