I've grown up with both and it's a very easy choice. for me, cats are quite charming and cute but not much more than that.

our two dogs have so so much personality, and they're like family members. I'll be absolutely crushed when the oldest one (who's now 12, I barely remember the time before she came to our family) passes. oh the horror.

I'm more of a dog person.

But where's the "Bunnies of Doom" option?

BUNNIES OF DOOM ARE NOT CUTE!!!

Oh but they can be when they need to. That's how they lure their prey in.

I can't decide! Both are cute when small!

But so ugly when they grow up!

Nah. Cats stop being cute when they grow up and develop the "I rule and may or may not obey you. You are here at my pleasure. I will come and go as I please and stop for food and a rub in between." attitude. Dogs on the other hand are more adorable when they grow up.

Strange, for me some cats (not all) seem to have more depth then most dogs.

Also dogs demand a lot more time and attention.

time well spent!

I'd like to see a cat reach that level of cuteness.

OWNED!!

ok. that was pretty cute.

Is this cute? Dangerous more like it. The people who took this photo 2 seconds away from certain mutilation and agony!

Oh I've had plenty of rabbit in my time. Pretty delicious. Game pies are very good.

They're both great, but without question puppies. They're just so much better.

I'd eat dog just to be able to say I tried it. Not cat though....

Remember that Shawarma you bought from that Turk last weekend?

Well.........

Melange : Hmmm, unsure if Stefan would ever buy something from a Turk so maybe this post fails?

Cats all the way. Dogs are very loyal, which is probably why many people prefer them, but they're also quite stupid. Cats provide the same level of cuteness and awesomeness while still being smart enough to be independent.

I thought they cleared JWFan forum of all the recent scam threads... Clearly not!

Nothing is cuter then a young kitty!

This too.

Cats tend to learn from things as well. Say if you spray em' with a water bottle if they start doing bad things in a certain area you don't want them to get in. After a bit they learn and not to do it any more. Dogs on the other hand...

In the Boal's pictures the dogs look more cute.

I know have a bigger reaction to dogs. If you kick a random cat I'll be like "whatever". If you kick a random dog I'll be like "but whyyyy??? Poor thing!!". Actually the general idea that dogs are less independant reinforces this for me. That smelly cat can go take care of itself!

That said, I do like cats and they can be hilarious at home.

there are some disgusting smells in the world and one of them is a wet dog.

cats never smell that bad.

Well their shit does sometimes... but dogshit is equally smelly.

Ah, and they love their water!

I remember being out at the beach with my uncle's dog, he was so happy to be there he jumped into the water again and again and wanted me to go play with him.

Oh I like animals but only wild animals in their own natural territory, especially the birds of pray.

The dogs and cats are ok if you live in country side and they are useful of some sort. Dogs living outside and helping in hunting, cats

living in the stable and destroying all the vermin.

I never liked the fact, that billions of dollars is spent just to advertise the food of pets on television, there is something wrong with that.

I too hate the smell of wet dogs, makes me wanna puke.

Geckos are better!

I seriously hate that the cats hunt them down all over the house in summer. Sometimes I've saved one or two they happened to be playing with. When we didn't have cats the house was gecko paradise that time of the year.

Nothing says dignity like licking your own....

And eating your own...

So you say "Whatever" to animal abuse? What the fuck?

Posted

I dunno, I think they've outlawed testing on animals for cosmetic devices. Something like that

Posted

Wet dog stinks only if the dog was already dirty and needed a bath, or wasn't dried quickly enough. A wet dog, right out of the bath, smells great. Clean.

Posted

Animal abuse is not cool, doesn't matter what type of animal it is. If one is caught that you've abused your animal you can get thrown into prison and charged a hefty fine. Hell look at what happened to Michael Vick. He had been caught for illegal dog fighting (which is major cruelty) and was thrown into prison and had to pay a fine.

For someone (Chaac) to say they don't really care if an animal gets abused then that person needs a beating.

Edit: Wojo, any animal that has been given a bath will smell better than before. There are a lot of smells I really can't tolorate, and the smell of a wet dog is one of them.

Posted

So we've gone from animal abuse to human abuse. Great. How about we all actually consider for a minute that Chaac was never actually being serious about the whole "kicking animals" thing?
