  1. I should have been there!! banghead
  2. ET. Spielberg + Williams is something that cannot be beaten.
  3. Since I don't really have anything more to recommend, just have a good flight, to ehem, ¡MADRID! If you're coming to Terminal 4, don't get lost
  4. Yep, the man can't be that long without working.
  5. He hasn't had a good relationship with Lucas since ROTJ, right? Didn't Lucas try to get him for TPM but he refused? I think he said something like"if he wants to do everything his way, he should just do it himself..." having in mind the Solo no returning idea and Lando not escaping from DSII I think.
  6. All Shyamalan movies consist of a final twist, just as every Potter book so, why not? I'm sure it would look good, and JNH would be a good choice.
  7. Poor -you know- Brian- you know- Singer - you know-.
  8. They didn't really used that!??!! One that nobody said. I didn't like it better that the one used in the film, but I love this one: Binary Sunset (Alt.).
  9. We've already discussed this. it seems it depends on the scores of the year, they use this rule to drop those ones they want with an official excuse.
  10. Just a tip: Almodovar's new film (Volver) got really good welcome outside Spain (Cannes mainly). I bet it will get good reviews in the States too, and taking into account the score is by Alberto Iglesias, one of last year weird names, it's not that crazy to assume he could get a nod. On the other hand, I can't wait to Alatriste: Roque Baños is a really good composer, and I'm sure he will deliver a good swashbuckling score. But I don't think the movie will draw so much attention to itself as to get any nods (especially when Almodovar will be there as the Spanish/Hispanic rep).
  11. A good composer should be able to achieve both A and B. That's why we all love Williams so much, and so many people hate Zimmer around here.
  12. Yep, his name is James Earl Jones
  13. You answer doesn't surprise me. Though I have no musical knowledge, those I know who have, tell me that Williams and filmscore in general are regarded as derivative and not serious.
  14. For me it's so difficult to make people you undertand you like the music from certain films that I just don't care anymore. For instance, I remember one day when I was with some friends, some of them no so friends so they didn't know me that much. So my cell phone rings, with Cantina Band 1, and they asked "Hey, what's that tune from?, I heard that before". At my answer, they dodn't even think that I could actually like the music from Star Wars but just Star Wars itself (both things are true in this case). But my point is I think many people can't understand you might like the music for itself and not because of the movie it comes from, so it's really hard to tell them, "Yup, it's from John Williams, he's a great film composer.
  15. The antichrist of Williams trade mark I knew you would say something about this
  16. Michael Bay... ZZZZZZ BOOOOOOOOOM deimos- suddenly awaken by one of Bay's commonly out of place explosions
  17. Yep, that one flows very well. In fact most of them are good. The Fox Fanfare- Star wars was pretty obvious. The Titanic-Psycho is hilarious. I always imagine Williams stabbing horner in the back.
  18. I've always wanted to see that. Which season is it from?
  19. I loved the Godfather-ET one. I always makes me laugh.
