  1. I skimmed the broadcast on Youtube, JW was there but I don't think his category was broadcast.
  2. He performed Window to the Past in Chicago in 2009, it was part of an all Potter 2nd half.
  3. I was at the concert last night. The program was: Excerpts from Close Encounters of the Third Kind Cello Concerto (there was an encore of the Elegy for Cello and Orchestra added after this) Intermission Of Grace and Majestry (A Hymn to New England) Suite from Far and Away Three Selections from Harry Potter Theme from Schindler's List Adventures on Earth Encores were: With Malice Toward None (a new concert arrangement) Raider's March Star Wars Main Theme Imperial March
  4. Didn't ever notice a single clipping issue. Could you provide tracks and exact timings for it? Star of Bethlehem gets pretty horrible around 2:30.
  5. Sounds great! FYI, tracks 4 and 5 have incorrect links.
  6. I doubt that it's refering to James Taylor (is he ever called Jim?), rather I'd expect it to be this guy: http://www.gourd.com/taylorj.html
  7. It was edited from the OST version, though I don't think I heard any new material. It sounded to me like an abridged version of the original.
  8. I think it is The Adventure Continues since that has been his usual selection in the past few concerts that featured music from Tintin. I'm may wrong but I thought Williams played The Adventure Continues with them already? So I thought we'd get to hear something other than that? I'm probably imagining things lol... It was The Adventure Continues, and it seems Williams has renamed it in the concert form as The Duel. Programme of Tanglewood on Parade. And Williams was obviously refering to the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra which comprises of students of the Tanglewood Music Center, the Boston Symphony's summer institute for young professional musicians, who have probably not played this music before. The program listed online is incomplete. In addition to Close Encounters and "The Duel" (interesting note - since the last performance of this piece in Boston, Williams added a sustained brass note through the first false ending, presumably to keep the audience from clapping) Williams conducted "The Sea Battle", aka Sir Francis and the Unicorn. All the Williams pieces were perfomed by the Boston Pops.

  13. Soooooooooo...how would one go about listening to this?
  14. Is that a real trailer? It looks like clips from the first two trailers with the music pasted over the top.
  15. I was down in the garage last night after the concert as well, and though I did not participate in the chase , I have to say I admire JWfangirl's enthusiam! You looked like you were ready to jump in front of his car if it would get you that autograph!
  16. Concert last night was amazing, as it always is to see JW in person. The second half the program was literally the exact same thing he did at Tanglewood a couple months ago, even with the same soloist (Gil Shaham) and the same surprise Sabrina performance, but since the soloist selections and the Tribute to the Film Composer aren't selections he does often I was perfectly fine with that. And to add to what Damien said above, I was also in the front row and it was interesting to see the reactions between the soloist and JW. During the applause after the Schinder's List performance I could make out the soloist saying "That's for you" to JW. One interesting thing was that the first chair violinist left the stage during the section with the guest soloist...I'm curious what the reason for that was. Also, one of the people sitting next to me actually left during the intermission and did not return for the second half.
