  1. Highly recommended -- Wael Binali's concert pieces "Niramaya," "Earth, Plunder, Wound, Renewal, Hope," and Shaffalah Suite. He's brilliant! Also, Benny Oschmann's "The Dwarves" video game score and Hendrik Schwarzer's orchestral music for Europa-Park...
  2. "They Will Come" is definitely a major highlight of the wonderful album for me.
  3. Jay, just saw the film and read your initial assessment and you voiced everything I was thinking. We are 100% in agreement. The score is a masterpiece and I have also never experienced a film with so much fantastic unreleased music that instantly spoke to me. Man oh man we need this complete score.
  4. What a masterpiece. Seeing the film in a few days and can't wait to hear it in context. I'm just completely blown away by this score. If one were to insert "Falcon Flight" and "In the Desert" from the FYC into the OST, where would they belong?
  5. No question, Johnny is still at the top of his game. Just incredible.
  6. I have a VPN that I can set for New Zealand but it doesn't always allow me to hear new albums, and I'm not sure why that is. Sometimes I can play them on Youtube.
  7. Holy crap! I go for a walk and come back to find three pages of posts. This is bloody brilliant!
  8. I’m always leery of saying “definitive” because of the possibility that an even more definitive release will appear later, but in this instance, I guess “definitive” is as safe a term as it can be.
  9. What is also incredible is that we are getting the final score by John Williams for the Star Wars saga at the same time as three of his earliest blockbuster scores are finally being released in virtually definitive editions. Great time to be a fan.
  10. https://www.williamrossmusic.com/projects/featured-projects/ Ross lists this as among his projects on his official website. Disney has an abysmal track record of releasing its park music, so I'm not holding out much hope that we will ever get to hear this work outside the attractions. I have a feeling that the single Galaxy's Edge theme is all we are going to get.
  11. Well, its a bit disjointed and choppy, but that's to be expected for an FYC. And I can't imagine that for the final end titles of the final SW film scored by Williams, there wouldn't be something really special involving many of the classic themes. Time will tel.
  12. Somehow I missed both threads on this nifty little gem. Very nice.
  13. Holy crap, finally got around to listening to my copy which arrived in the mail a few days ago. The sound is unbelievable! What an incredible upgrade. Just stunning.
  14. Got my VPN set to New Zealand and now listening to the album. Wow, Donnybrook Fair is superb! That’s the first one that jumped out at me that I hadn’t heard previously. Can’t wait for the deluxe edition!
  15. There seems to be some indication that this is finally going to be released...
  16. Crazy that the FYC never resurfaced.
  17. I love all three tracks released so far. Rey's Theme is quite lovely. But I'm not a fan of this piecemeal release. I can't stop myself from playing the first three tracks over and over, so when the cd comes out I will have exhausted those tracks.
