  1. I bought the Varese edition of The Missouri Breaks online for 1.99 about a month ago. It's a great score for a bargain price - definitely pick it up if you see it in this store sale.
  2. It certainly is. I found this symphony through the score release of Mr. Holland's Opus, where the movement was used rather well in the movie.
  3. Listening to the new Gremlins release... again. The sound is so clear and detailed, a revelation! My favorite release of the last few months, easily. Edit: I love the little "drunken strut" at the end of "First Aid," when Billy is attempting to use the orange juicer. A wonderful 30 seconds!
  4. I love Mahler's 1st. But then again, I'm not really familiar with the others. I should really pick up a cycle one of these days.
  5. An understandable sellout, considering the Varese is pretty rare. I guess it helps the sellout mania when there's no available copies officially in print. I'm looking forward to hearing this score again!
  6. I did the same with my current shelving system. Unfortunately, I didn't account for weight, so the shelves are sagging a bit in the middle. I'm not too handy, but have considering building my own.
  7. I didn't think I was going to buy this one, but after listening to some clips on YouTube, decided to take the plunge. For me, the music brings back fond memories of the movie, which was one of my favorites as a teen.
  8. I enjoyed the Jade score more than I anticipated. And for $10, it's a steal. The Die Hard clips sounded great.
  9. After going 8 days (!!!) without a single purchase, I now have Wolfen, Scrooged, Die Hard and Tora! Tora! Tora! coming my way. I have one more order still waiting to be shipped, and hopefully that will be it for the year.
  10. Maglorfin: what kind of shelving/case are you using? They look nice and sturdy. I'm in the market for a new shelving unit for my collection.
  11. It's Wolfen and Great Train Robbery. Ordered the first, will wait on the second as it's unlimited. There's a future order with Train and Rambo III written on it for me.
  12. Compared to last year, the titles announced today are a little underwhelming. I will be picking up Scrooged at the least, and maybe Die Hard and Tora Tora Tora.
  13. Would "Vigilante Justice" apply as a theme to Batman Forever and Die Hard?
  14. Still have to listen to Mylo Xyloto as well, even though I bought it day of release.
  15. I imagine I'll pick up Gremlins and The Accidental Tourist sometime before the end of the year. There were a few others I had passing interest with, but I'm really trying to cut down the number of CDs entering my collection at this point.
  16. No. There are a few on there now, but having all of them would take up a lot of space. Maybe when I get that iPod classic someday!
  17. I thought this as well. Perhaps the other theme is superheroes, if Batman Forever is on the schedule. That's a big IF, though.
  18. I picked up the current King Kong album about a month ago, or whenever the FSM announcement was made. The score's a decent listen, but I couldn't imagine it being longer than it is now. How much is missing?
  19. Option 2. I discovered a lot of this great music by hearing it in movies, but isolating it on disc, I'm able to fully immerse myself without the need for the film accompaniment.
  20. At one point, probably 10 or so years ago, I sold off a large chunk of my music collection, including soundtracks. So when I realized the folly of that move about four years ago, I reacquired everything - so yes, Jurassic Park, The Last Crusade, Star Wars Anthology, E.T., on and on.
  21. Isn't there only a few minutes unreleased from Voyage? It'd be nice to have a better package and sound, though - I'd love to see liner notes like with Khan and Spock. But I'd really love an expanded Generations. I remember waiting for months for the score to be released on CD after the movie premiered, then being disappointed that some of my favorite parts were not included (specifically, the complete "sparkling" music surrounding the launch of the rocket). The opening theme - or lack of - was very striking, accompanied by that floating bottle image. And "A Christmas Hug" is one of my most favorite Trek score cues.
  22. I went Overboard with my purchases, shook my wallet to The Core. Oh, and Titus too.
