  1. So YOU ARE John Williams ! Obi-Wan was wise to hide... wait a minute!
  2. Well, that already happened: for example, their excellent release from THE GREAT TRAIN ROBBERY vanished without any warning while it was an INT title too. Maybe like for Sup' 3 CD set / Superman II/III set, Mr Williams didn't like the source music just after the OST or the film score and asked for a new edit? If better elements have been found, I'll happily spend my money on it!
  3. As you say... EDIT: Jay, why this topic's title says JAWS - 2019 Intrada 2CD release ? Have you got a scoop?
  4. Sorry if this has been already reported: http://store.intrada.com/s.nl/it.A/id.9909/.f JAWS 2CD SET: SOLD OUT. A new formula says: "The Jaws 2CD set is currently sold out but will likely be re-issued at some point with a slightly different program". A slightly different program?
  5. Excellent, thank you Jason! Thoses stories about Jerry prising Schindler's List: priceless!

  8. I forgot... I took a picture of the music credits during the end credits! Here iit comes!
  9. Well somebody here in France is claiming Amazon.fr did bring him today the CD...
  10. The movie was released today in France. I just saw it. I won't say anything else. NO SPOILER here. About the music, the movie is mixed so loud on the sound effects that it's hard, very hard, to hear the music, except for few scenes. For example, scenes where the love theme, very Korngoldian, can be heard -- and the opening scene, with the probable first exposition of what John Williams wrote for "The Adventures of Han". I can't wait to be able to listen to the CD. I was waiting for more reprises from the material Williams wrote over the years but there are just smart quotes, at the right moments (I can't say more now). I would say it's a more modern SW score, but still in the codes of the saga, musicaly speaking. John Powell has done a superb job, tipping his hat to Williams' work, bringing his own signature in terrific ways (of the Force). And yes, the movie is good!

  14. I was banned out of the queue few seconds before being able to get a ticket for the London concert, so I seek for at least one ticket for RAH concert. Please help me, JWFan people, you're my only hope. Please...
  15. Thank you for all your work here, I spent a fantastic time viewing ALL of them!
  16. I voted for A.I. When I saw the movie in a theater in 2001, I knew I wanted every single note recorded for that score. The 3 CD set is a dream come true. I also adore the JP Collection (I love so much The Lost World) and the Home Alone sets. E.T. is a pure bliss too. Hard to choose! I now wish MM would revisit Hook...

  19. His work for concert hall is so vivid and melodic. I love it!
  20. Feel free to visit our website UnderScores.fr to read our latest interview with American composer Peter Boyer! Read the interview in English: http://www.underscores.fr/rencontres/interviews-vo/2016/11/interview-with-peter-boyer/ American composer Peter Boyer has been noted for the quality of his orchestral work, often described as lyrical, energetic and powerful. He has become one of the most frequently performed American orchestral composers of his generation, with over 400 performances of his works by more than 150 orchestras, including several of the major American orchestras. He has conducted three albums of his concert music, all of which have received extensive broadcasts on classical radio throughout the United States and abroad. His major work, Ellis Island: The Dream Of America, for actors and orchestra, is one of the most performed large-scale American concert works of the last 15 years in the U.S., with over 160 live performances, and it received a Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary Classical Composition. In addition to his work for the concert hall, Boyer is active as an orchestrator for Hollywood films, having worked on more than 35 feature film scores for several leading Hollywood composers, including Michael Giacchino, James Newton Howard, Thomas Newman, James Horner and Mark Isham. Boyer agreed to answer to our questions about his work as a concert composer, and an orchestrator for movies.
  21. A great interview, once again, Jay. So deep, so sharp and so informative. Thanks a lot!
  22. I expected that the Deluxe packaging would contain extra material in the booklet, à la The Hobbit. Now, I'm a bit lost. I think I shall order the standard CD and wait for echoes of other editions.
