  1. What is the system of the cue numbers? I don't get what those letters and several numbers per cue describe.
  2. It's always() the best scores which are lost to time. The only example of lost material nobody cares about is from "Not without my Daughter".
  3. Why has it to be "Dracula"? Why not "Always" or "Sabrina"?
  4. "1900" (1976) Original Title: "Novecento" Great film. But you should watch the two parts one after another. Begin at 7 pm and you've finished 15 minutes after midnight. Not like me, I began at 10 pm.
  5. The most requiem-like pieces are probably "New March" and "Death March". Additionally "Remembering Munich", "Anakin's Betrayal", "Journey Through the Ice Part I", "Epilogue (The Fury)", "Quiet Moments", "Stolen Memories" and of course the Emperor's Theme. That's my opinion, but I could have forgotten a few good examples.
  6. !The Thing! which was nominated for a golden raspberry award - but hey, Williams and Goldsmith also got a nomination. I would also recommend you to search all Morricone scores Tarantino used in his works, because most of them are outstanding ones.
  7. Yet I can fully understand why some passages were dropped from the movie. Especially "The Falling Car" and "High Wire Stunts" are more intense and noticeable when the music suddenly comes in like in the film. I can also understand why "Hungry Raptor was almost completely dropped, because except the calm passages it hardly fits the overall style of the rest of the music. It's just weird.
  8. The Mission Once Upon a Time in America Once Upon a Time in the West The Great Silence Duck, You Sucker The Thing Novecento Cinema Paradiso The Untouchables The H8ful Eight Navajo Joe Two Mules for Sister Sarah
  9. Maybe Williams got how disappointed some of his fans were about the "Hook" release. After all it was him who decided to exclude the concert arrangements from the main program of the new "Home Alone" release.
  10. That is what I meant. I didn't want to say "skip", but "interrupt". My Fault
  11. When further material of "Home Alone" was found, whose first LLL release was already sold out, they did that second 2CD release. "Hook" is sold out now and I'm sure when they find the missing cues and inserts, they will do another release that improves all flaws of the 2012 release. As there are many flaws, an enhanced release would be worthwhile: Missing inserts, wrong order, OST cue connections, cues taken from the film negatives, no concert versions. A definite 3CD set would be nice!
  12. So, will you skip passages where the music lasts longer than the film like that?
  13. Now, Zimmer's ghostwriters get the chance to win an oscar.
  14. Nope, I mean Jerry Goldsmith and I personally consider him the number two. But that's just a subjective matter. Objectively, as a composer, he probably shares the throne with John Williams. ...would be a great sitcom: "John and Jerry" "More synthesizer." "No, more xylophone." "How about a synth-xylophone?" "It's not supposed to be like Warlock, it's supposed to be good!
  15. Beautiful, calm and nevertheless epic. But the movie is just Brad Pitt promotion.
  16. There are more than 300 movies in my collection and BD is among the worst. I just wanted to say that UF does everything right that BD doesn't. Although the latter is not politically serious and consequent enough, it is intense and has great acting. Or what do you mean?
  17. Under Fire (1983) - who likes Blood Diamond? You will love that one. A Masterpiece of the 80s! And I don't call every movie that is just 'good' a 'masterpiece'. Moreover one of the greatest scores of all time by the second maestro!
  18. Piano stab, at least I never doubted that. But I've often thought about the pianist who had to sit there three and a half minutes just for that moment.
  19. To answer both questions: Yes - but I'm not interested in such a bootleg. I can wait.
