Brundlefly got a reaction from igger6 in New John Williams/Matessino 2017 Project Announcement!
This is madness! If Disney delays the premiere of Episode IX to 2021 they can produce some special crap every year, because then it is always the 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, ... of one of the Star Wars Movies!
Episode 4: 1977 + 5 = 1982
Episode 5: 1980 + 5 = 1985
Episode 6: 1983 + 5 = 1988
Episode 1: 1999 + 5= 2004
Episode 2: 2002 + 5 = 2007
Episode 3: 2005 + 5 = 2010
Episode 7: 2015 + 5 = 2020
Episode 8: 2018 + 5 = 2023
Episode 9: 2021 + 5 = 2026
Every year they can make a release that features one cue never released before!

Brundlefly got a reaction from Jay in New John Williams/Matessino 2017 Project Announcement!
Is there any chance that we could get a definitive Hook this year?
- the 2012 version is sold out
- this is 5 years ago, so one could have found the missing cues
- nowadays Williams would approve a complete chronological score if it is done by MM
- it would be worth it, as there is a lot of alternates and concert version
- fans are clearly demanding for this, so it would sell

Brundlefly got a reaction from Docteur Qui in Which The Lost World ending (Tranquilizer Dart) do you prefer?
It is notably the second half that misses all dialogues between father and daughter, Sarah and Ian as well as any ambitious concerns that were implied or introduced in the first half. From the moment when Eddie died, one action or killer scene follows after another, and the film seems to degenerate to a technically perfectly made popcorn flick. To include the San Diego part without becoming stocky, the second half would have required half an hour more. But the original ambition becomes visible when you listen to the complete score. That LLL set set of the desire of an extended movie version - at least in my case.

Brundlefly got a reaction from Gruesome Son of a Bitch in What happened with John Williams and Universal in 1976?
Nevermind, all scores that haven't got an album, when they came out, got a directly-complete-score-release, later.

Brundlefly got a reaction from Jay in Which are your Top 5 Jurassic Park/The Lost World action set pieces?
I always considered Visitor in San Diego to be the "brother" of T-Rex Rescue and Finale. They're both the final chaos-action-track, the first one ringing more sharp and agressiv and the second one ringing more bombastic and dark.

Brundlefly got a reaction from Taikomochi in The John Williams Jurassic Park Collection from La-La Land MUSIC Discussion
The Lost World score got a horrible treatment. Almost as bad as Goldsmith's Alien. (just realizing that those two scores are my favourite scores of each composer) But still some cues like for example In the Trailer were removed understandably.
