My bet is either Superman March or Imperial March!

I was thinking of flying Friday already, but that would add over 100 € to an already expensive weekend in Vienna, so decided against it. But fingers crossed tomorrow's fine.

Or perpahs your flights will be delayed until over the weekend.
Dude, every single flight I've taken in the last year has had issues - cancelled, delayed, mistook luggage...THIS one HAS to go perfectly well.

It's supposed to snow over the weekend in Vienna, so if we're lucky, we might get a winter scenery there. Vienna in snow is incredible!

Not sleeping much these days because of this, haha. I'm flying out tomorrow morning, my body is ready. Unreal.
What's good timing to pick up the ticket from the box office, an hour or so before the concert, or is that too soon? Also, any more confirmations of the concert being video recorded? I'm sure it will be audio recorded, as Anne-Sophie confirmed that.

I already have plans, but if you see me at the concert, please bump me, would love to meet you!

This is gonna be such an emotional concert, I can already feel it hard

I will arrive tomorrow late afternoon so I might go to other performances tomorrow evening and friday. Williams looks in good shape and ready to give us a marvelous show!
My guess is that these days they'll be rehearsing with VSO for the concerts

Just received his 52nd Oscar nomination for TROS

Regarding the program, are the pieces expected to be performed in that order, or can it change?

He's gonna be like "I should have moved here a long time ago"

The Rise of Skywalker, The Imperial March, and third?

I'm still a little bit concerned that this once in a lifetime event may get canceled at the very last minute.
Nah, don't say that

So, my guess is that Anne-Sophie will join in and they'll play the Across the Stars versions of Hedwig's Theme, Theme from Sabrina, Rey's Theme and maybe Luke and Leia?
Anyone wants to speculate on possible encore pieces? Rise of Skywalker, perhaps, something else, Superman?

Hm, on my ticket I read „Cercle Rechts, Reihe I, Platz 2“. So I guess, the first rows are not reserved.
Second seat in the house, wow
11 hours ago, Marian Schedenig said:As has been posted repeatedly, staff at the Musikverein box office seem to have "confirmed" that an audio and video recording is still planned, as has Anne-Sophie Mutter. Nothing specifically official, and they might not have all the information, but it certainly looks like a recording is planned. I also assume that's the reason why the box office statement was that the first three rows (Cercle I-III) will very likely not be sold, though they weren't 100% certain that those wouldn't still go on sale closer to the concerts.
Also, posters seem to be finally up (not my photo):
Oddly enough still with the old programme and title, yet officially crediting Anne-Sophie Mutter (and I suppose the major programme change happened when she originally joined the lineup).
Interesting, my guess is they had the poster out for printing before John changed his mind about the program?

Here's yesterday's new year's concert of the Vienna Philharmonics, to get you in place and somewhat in mood
-
Maybe we get back on track here? Two weeks to go, starting to feel the hype...Hopefully it'll be snowy, Vienna in winter with snow is like a fairytale.
-
Man wouldn't it be awesome if he came to Vienna next week to see the new year's concert in person!
