  1. I think the most likely 2020 JW releases are any of these Universal titles which have been already released but not expanded yet:

    The Eiger Sanction (1975)
    The River (1984)
Born on the Fourth of July (1989)
    Always (1989)
    Far and Away (1992)

It is because there are no obstructions in the game like the following ones:

20th Century Fox - now belongs to Walt Disney Studios (see below)
Sony Music - record company decided to not do deals any more with all the labels!
Walt Disney - studio is very selective about providing their scores to the other labels!
Warner Bros. - new owners have caused new policies that may be cost prohibitive for all future projects!

  2. BTW The Reivers is really licensing nightmare!

Produced by Cinema Center Films, which is owned by Paramount now.

Distributed by National General Pictures, which is owned by Warner Bros. now.

Soundtrack released by Columbia Records, which is owned by Sony Music now.

I really understand why this is so difficult to re-release.

If I missed any films, let me know!

Jay, you have missed the following films:

    Theatrical films:

    1968 Sergeant Ryker [Universal]

    1969 Daddy's Gone A-Hunting [Warner Bros.]

    TV films:

    1968 Heidi [Omnibus-Productions / NBC] (Quartet 2013)

1971 Jane Eyre [Omnibus Productions / NBC] (La-La Land 2012 release is not complete)

  4. Please can somebody give me information which european on-line shops are selling jewel case versions?

I was told that all shops in UK are selling jewel case versions only but it is not true because for example Presto Music is selling digipack version!

So it seems it is not that simple. Unfortunately the shops do not mention what version they are selling!

    Please help!

Thank you very much for your advice in advance.

Fascinating! This bodes well for a Blu-Ray/DVD release of the concert too. (Although I really want the concert from Tanglewood.)

Oh heck, I want them both!

Since C Major Entertainment has already released another John Williams' concert on DVD and BluRay it is possible!

    https://www.cmajor-entertainment.com/movie/a-john-williams-celebration-730308/

    https://www.cmajor-entertainment.com/movie/a-john-williams-celebration-730404/

And they have the following two programs for licensing on their website:

    https://www.cmajor-entertainment.com/movie/la-opening-gala-2014-john-williams-celebration-9153/

    https://www.cmajor-entertainment.com/movie/across-the-stars-anne-sophie-mutter-john-williams-8709/

They have already release the first one, so I think there is a big chance they will release the second one too!

I hate digipacks, especially the limited ones.

I hope they will release unlimited jewel case CD edition with bonus tracks "Markings" and "Remembrances" later :P

  8. 1) Approximately which days will you be in London for?  (IE, "I'll be there from Tuesday the 23rd through Sunday the 28th")

Our group of 5 Czech fans will probably arrive on Wednesday the 24th and leave on Saturday the 27th.

    2) Are you also going to see Harry Potter 3 live at Royal Albert Hall on  Wednesday the 24th?

    No.

    3) Would you be interested in a group tour of Leavesden Studios on Thursday the 25th or Saurday the 27th?  Which day would work better for you?

Yes, we have already tried to buy tickets to Harry Potter tour but unfortunately it's already sold out in that week.
Jay, do you know some magic spell how to get there?

    4) Would you be interested in a group tour of Abbey Road Studios on Thursday the 25th or Saurday the 27th?  Which day would work better for you?

Yes, we would be definitely interested in a group tour of Abbey Road Studios. In particular for me it would be my dream come true!

    5) Would you be interested in a group screening of a JW-scored film at the BFI IMAX some day that week?

    It depends on the film.
