Quintus 5,399
Yep.so do you think its quality? its a piece of S..H..!..T...apparently these days its very difficult to write a decent pop song to a Bond film. And the singer is anything but first rate.I'm not saying I freakin' love it or anything, but I do find it quite catchy yes. I suspect it'll suit the opening graphics very nicely and come the release of the movie the song will have grown on many listeners. It is no way a piece of sh*t. JoeinAR 1,949
if you say so, its completely forgettable.Hopefully they will not dwell on it.
Quintus 5,399
Forgettable is a far more agreeable description that all-out sh*t!Lee - listening to Jack Nitzsche's Starman, orchestrated. Another underrated theme.
JoeinAR 1,949
one of the problems with the bond movies is the opening credits are so been there done that we don't have any ideas left.
Hitch 57
Just listened to it again. Still pretty horrid. Even worse than TND song. Might work better on screen. Has the new Bond movie had its screen test review yet? Would love to see the card comments on the song.
Bryant Burnette 654
one of the problems with the bond movies is the opening credits are so been there done that we don't have any ideas left.I thought the credits for Casino Royale were excellent, and not particularly like the credits of the rest of the series. Maybe Quantum of Solace can replicate that.
Hitch 57
Danny Kleinmann's main credits since Goldeneye have been brilliant. CR is the best so far although I've a particular fondness for his Goldeneye credits.
Ollie 1,059
Nobody seems to have mentioned how the opening chords are very similar to those of You Know My Name. They seem to be transposed to a different key (is my technobabble correct here, musiclovers?).Coincidence? I think not!Not the greatest song I've ever heard, but it has potential to be good within context. It was already mentioned earlier in the thread by Mr. Buck. His credits for TND, TWINE and DAD have been excessive overkill, but GoldenEye and Casino Royale made up for it.But no-one beats Maurice Binder's awesome credits. Vaderbait1 1
Stupid question, but are they doing an iTunes complete release like they did with Casino Royale, or just a simple incomplete CD release, and when does it come out?
Kendal_Ozzel 36
October 28. I just saw it on Amazon, and was surprised to see the cover art up already. In fact, we could use a thread for the score. I'll get on that.As for the song, it's on iTunes everywhere BUT North America right now, and it will be up for the rest of us on Tuesday. CR is the best so far although I've a particular fondness for his Goldeneye credits. The credits for QoS are being done (are already done?) by completely different company, so there is little chance that Kleinmann is returning for this one. Sadly...

Ollie 1,059
I posted a link in the QOS thread to amazon with the cover art. I think it's being releashed on Alicia Key's label so the song should be on the album

Greg1138 3
Well - I gotta say I don't hate it as much as others here....but that's not to say I particularly like it either....I wasn't too keen on "You Know My Name" either, but that one grew on me....will this one? I don't know - but I'm not holding out much hope to be honest........on another note - I wonder if the song will actually be included on the OST this time around? Not that I would miss it if it weren't I don't think - it's just that the songs have always been so synonymous with the scores and of course CR bucked the trend by not including it...GregEDIT - yeah, ok, so I missed Mr Olivarez comments above when I wrote that last bit
