PBL 0 Posted March 7, 2003 Share Posted March 7, 2003 In fact, the pianist (Enguerrand) is a close friend of mine, and a true John Williams' fanatic (got all his scores)... but he doesn't have internet nor a computer... In fact, yesterday, we've just done a concert with several film music excerpt (he was alone doing his John Williams stuff) and I am part of group of 3 called the "Cine-Trio" (piano, violin, oboe) and we played various film music (Lawrence of Arabia, Schindler's List, Gone with the Wind, Mission Impossible, James Bond, Titanic, Mission, Robin Hood...)The JW CD is to be released in April I think... You will be able (I guess) to order it via internet... Perhaps you'll find it in regular stores also (I don't know about that yet)... A vrai dire, je suis opposé à 100% avec ses arguments. Je trouve que pour les novices, c'est justement un peu frustrant, même si le spectacle est garanti. Quand au concert, je pense que Schindler est le moment le moins prenant... imo Well, I just went to the concert, it went great and had a great atmosphere.. Enguerrand played as an encore the Jaws theme, litteraly "within" the piano (pitching the strings to make a strange noise) then striking the whole low key notes to make a very powerful noise... it was wonderful... As a 2nd encore (the crowd went crazy), Enguerrand appeared dressed as Darth Sidious and played the imperial march... impressive... most impressive !!A wonderful evening soon in CD !
