The clip that I shared is from the final film. I have the Moby cue on GO: THE BEST OF MOBY. Are you sure that isn't the film version? Those are def synth strings in the film
Corellian2019 386
I'm sure. Listen carefully to the opening heard at 2:44: And the ending heard at 1:30: Those bits are not on Moby's original version. bruce marshall
bruce marshall 1,315
Are you talking about the music that plays from 1:30 -?. That's not Moby. Might be Eno.
Corellian2019 386
In the second video, 1:30-1:38 is the unreleased ending of the "God" song. After that, it's tracked music: 1m1, the opening credits by Goldenthal bruce marshall

Naïve Old Fart 9,554
@gkgyver, it has been released. There is a 4-disc box set called BOND BACK IN ACTION, which features this. It also has rare music from FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE, and A VIEW TO A KILL.
bruce marshall 1,315
Those are cover versions. So, the GOLDENEYE cue is a cover of a cover.
Naïve Old Fart 9,554
It's probably a rerecording, but it's the only released film version of that particular track, that there is.
bruce marshall 1,315
That whole series on Silva are covers. Better than nothing especially for scores that haven't, or can't be expanded. Like DR. NO!

I don't think it's an exaggeration to say Spielberg really nailed the feel of Hergé's Tintin in the same way PJ nailed the feeling of Tolkien in LotR. Such a waste of damn great adventure material. bruce marshall
Jay 37,374
I think it's actually aged well with time. I've caught bits and pieces of it on Pluto a few times this year and it really just exuberates joy. You can tell Spielberg had a blast making it. It's quite well paced to, and Andy Serkis's performance is really something special. I think expectations played a part in it's reception, but now with almost a decade passed, it's just a fun little movie. Too bad they never made sequels bruce marshall and Evanus 1

JibberJabberwocky 9
@gkgyver Seems like John Altman released his Goldeneye "Tank Chase" track via Soundcloud back in April 2020.
