Jay 37,364
I quite enjoy every score Williams has done in the past 15 years Joni Wiljami and MrJosh

I was listening to War of the Worlds the other day, because I always recall the score to be one of the stronger elements of a bad movie. I honestly couldn't get into it. Bar a couple of highlights (the obvious cues), I found it to be quite boring and JW-generic. It is music which feels better behind the movie scenes it accompanies, it is reliant on them. Gruesome Son of a Bitch 6,488
I like the emotive stuff, the strings that are reminiscent of JFK or Episode III, but it's pretty boring overall. Chewy and Quintus 1
Quintus 5,399
All very polished and reliable, like a Volvo. It isn't very exciting. Chewy
Richard Penna 3,690
About 15 mins of WotW is interesting to me, plus some of The Ferry Scene - a cue which I find has some highlghts in an otherwise somewhat generic cue. The suspense/underdscore material for Ogilvy and the later tripod scenes... meh. Quintus
Gruesome Son of a Bitch 6,488
I think everyone stopped caring by that point in the movie.

Richard Penna 3,690
I kind of liked the OST back in 2005, but I gradually realised that while I liked the first 7 tracks of the album, it fell apart after that, until The Reunion at least (overlooking the dialogue). Unlucky Bastard 7,782
People carry on as if this bloke's autopilot stuff is as exciting as his exceptional music. If that was the case, his exceptional music would no longer be exceptional.
