Jay 37,368
I assume every Horner score there is will be worked on by the specialty labels eventually blondheim
Edmilson 7,466
It hasn't been expanded by any label so far, but if you look well enough there's one or two bootlegs floating around the internet.
Unlucky Bastard 7,782
I love how quiet the OST is. CuriousMan
TSMefford 1,509
Isn't there an isolated score on the DVD?
Naïve Old Fart 9,534
The score's quite good. Don't own the DVD. Never have. Saw it once, at the cinema. Never again.
blondheim 1,157
I grew up with this movie. I love it, warts and all. TSMefford and Naïve Old Fart

Jay 37,368
All isolated scores are just a dump of the film's music stem, except for the (extremely) rare cases where a restoration professional is hired to make something different, such as Twilight Time titles or the Alien Anthology box set TSMefford
Richard Penna 3,694
You can even screw up making a bare-bones music stem. I got out the Planet Earth DVD a while back to take a look, and noticed that all they'd done to make the 'music only' track was mute the centre channel of the entire mix, so while they did lose the narration, they took with it the centre music channel (hence a massive loss of detail) and kept the effects. It's like somebody somewhere had the right idea from a basic technical standpoint, but whoever actually did the work didn't know what they were doing. Also, yes, of course it's the film edit, but I assume thats as complete as we have at this point to an extent (officially speaking). I suppose you could use the OST to fill out microedits and what not.
Jay 37,368
Yep and there was a partial session leak too CuriousMan
