Popular Post Jay 37,373
David Arnold to Score Robin Shaw’s ‘The Storm Whale Trilogy’ David Arnold (Independence Day, Casino Royale, Stargate, Sherlock, Tomorrow Never Dies, Hot Fuzz) is set to score The Storm Whale Trilogy, three half-hour animated specials based on the children’s books by Benji Davies. The three specials, The Storm Whale, The Storm Whale in Winter and Grandma Bird, are written and directed by Robin Shaw (We’re Going on a Bear Hunt), produced by Lupus Films and tell the story of a young boy living on a small island with only some sleepy cats and shy sea creatures for company while his father is out to catch fish, when a baby whale washes up on the island. Ruth Fielding & Camilla Deakin (Ethel & Ernest, The Snowman and the Snowdog) are producing the project for Lupus. Arnold has previously scored Shaw’s 2019 animated special The Tiger Who Came to Tea. No word yet on a release date for The Storm Whale Trilogy. http://filmmusicreporter.com/2022/06/15/david-arnold-to-score-robin-shaws-the-storm-whale-trilogy/ Suro-Zet, fommes, Tom Guernsey and 1 other 3

Anthony 572
Well it's not exactly a big blockbuster or Bond score, but I'll take any David Arnold I can get. Yavar Moradi and leeallen01
Popular Post Naïve Old Fart 9,552
Some of the best scores in the last sixty years have been written for animated films. I wish Mr. Arnold every success Now...let's have him back, for Bond 26. leeallen01, Jurassic Shark and Yavar Moradi
BeepBeepRitchie 4
David's absence from mainstream cinema is sorely missed. I think he's at a stage where he follows projects that interest him and sadly a lot of those are not in film. His colleague Nicholas Dodd is conducting some upcoming films such as Where the Crawdads Sing, Universe's Most Wanted and San Andreas 2. I would love Arnold to have been involved in any or all of those. Suro-Zet

BeepBeepRitchie 4
Apparently it's planned but there have been some scheduling problems for director Joe Johnson. Being pushed back to 2024 last I heard.
Jay 37,373
Joe Johnson? Who? Are you referring to Joe Johnston (Rocketeer, Captain America 1) or someone else?
BeepBeepRitchie 4
From what I read it's Joe Johnson (Rocketeer) involved.
Jay 37,373
The Rocketeer guy is Joe Johnston, not Joe Johnson
