  1. From a comment on my YT video of the arrangement:
  2. So, is the difference between the YT video version and the Album version: 1: The fast paced Radagast theme at 4:27 played as a fiddle solo instead of the full string section? (and without choir?) 2: Recorded without the Rain scene music?

What Is The Last Score You Listened To?

Yeah, boring was the word frequently used.

What Is The Last Score You Listened To?

The reason the MCU doesn't "have any memorable villain themes" is because Young used them all in this score!

    John Williams: Unpopular Opinions

The awful SQ on the ROTJ SE kills the Ewok theme in ROTJ. the Ewok theme on brass in the Endor has some pretty sick sounding brass statements on the OST/Anthology IMO.

He gets the praise he does because people enjoy the score. The evil SM theme is not my favorite theme in the score though.

I love that inserted statement of Elfman's theme in Harry Confronts Peter.
  9. Speaking of that, is that string "ostinato" ending something that was edited out of Hill of Sorcery, or was it just tracked from string stems (or re-recorded)? Which we are still trying to place precious.
  10. I heard this was not the case....? Some of the Gollum EE material is on the OST, so I think that was just edited out
  11. I believe the first revised opening was what we heard on the album, the second revised opening is the choirless version of Gandalf's theme heard in the film? (or maybe just the new Radgy theme?), also part of the unused/unreleased AUJ version of Gandalf and Radgy at the High Fells was tracked into Radgy being attacked by the Casper Witch-King.
