Adventures of Mutt is a nice piece, but not Temple of Doom.Another bummer was he played just the Star Wars main title, NOT the throne room, which I was salivating to see performed by him.Sorry for double post, but it was a terrific show. Didn't mean to focus on negative points. Wish I had a ticket for tomorrow.

And although I heard the entire Geisha suite with Yo-Yo Ma at Tanglewood in 2006, Brush on Silk with the Symphony Hall acoustics would be just so impressive. So sad I can't make it for the first time in 11 years! One disappointment though would have been the omission of "The Book Thief".

Croweyes1121 15 Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 Wow, I have to say, I'm a bit surprised there's nothing from Indy, Superman, ET, Close Encounters, Jaws, Schindler's...so much insanely good classic material...but hey, at least there will be hardly any overlap whatsoever with this concert and the one I saw in October of 2012 in Atlanta. We should make it to dinner, by the way. Got my Schindler's poster with me. If I get that signed, I may faint...what are my chances? 1/1000? lol

You can either ask for that name or just head to the Symphony Room, which is directly to the left when you enter. And don't worry, we always do separate checks for each group within our party. Can't wait to see everyone! ****After the concert, let's all go to City Bar to end the night. It's a 15 minute walk from Symphony Hall, large, and with lots of drink options. NOTE TO OUR FOREIGN FRIENDS - BRING YOUR PASSPORT! Most bars in Boston will card anyone who looks basically under 50, so you will need it as ID to get in! We took a lot of pictures, will post them tomorrow None of us got a JW autograph before the show, but maybe 6 random fans did. She went to the Friday concert and really enjoyed it. She also happened to drag her younger brother with her.She didn't bring any of her CDs with her and didn't bother trying to get anything signed. But her brother, who didn't care for JW one bit and was there out of obligation (though he enjoyed the classic stuff) managed to follow the crowd with a random scrap of paper and get it signed. Popular Post Jay 42,496 Posted June 10, 2014 Popular Post Posted June 10, 2014 Damn, what an awesome day Saturday was!There was 12 of us that met up for dinner before the show - myself, Thor, Koray Savas, nightscape94, Smeltington, Croweyes1121, ins, and various companions / girlfriends / wives. We all had a great time chatting about a variety of topics, and then walked over to Symphony Hall.We waited for Williams to sign autographs before the show, and when he arrived in his windbreaker he did sign for a bunch of people, but none of us got anything.The show was great, with many pieces performed I had never heard before (and unfortunately several that I had heard 3-4 times already, though that's only a minor quibble). The coolest part was that there was the Tanglewood Festival Choir was on stage during the first half, and sang for Cadillac of the Skies and a few other pieces. So awesome!After the show, there were more people waiting outside to try to get a glimpse of Williams and hopefully an autograph than ever before, and by a large margin. There were people waiting on the other side of the street!! A security guard came out twice to tell us that Williams was under the weather and would not be signing anything - and both times, NO ONE left When he finally did come out, he just went right into his car (though he did wave to everyone), and that was it.After that, we walked to a bar called CIty Bar where the 12 of us - plus Joe Brausaum and his 2 friends from last year - joined us as well. The bar was not quite as big as I thought it was, and we ended up being separated into smaller groups. But eventually the group united towards the end of the night, as some people left and the group got smaller. We stayed there drinking and chatting until the bar closed at 2am!Overall just a great day in the city of Boston. I met Thor and survived!I'll post more thoughts on the concert and the gatherings, as well as post all the great pictures I have on Marcy's camera - tomorrow! Mari, obiwan71, crocodile and 5 others 8
