MSM 194 Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 If there indeed will be a new Indy movie, and if Harrison Ford will not do it, who do you think could be a good or acceptable substitute?
Ollie 1,375 Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 There is no one on that list that I would like to see as Indiana Jones.
MSM 194 Posted July 16, 2004 Author Posted July 16, 2004 I couldn't think of any more candidates...any suggestions?
Ollie 1,375 Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 I'm sorry I'm one of the few who thinks Indiana Jones ended with the Last Crusade and doesn't need another sequel.Harrison Ford was perfect and I really can't picture anyone else in the role.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,388 Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 Harrison Ford, Harrison Ford or if they are unavailable, Harrison Ford.
Henry B 51 Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 ...But if that falls through the cracks, then Harrison Ford.
NeejaHalycon 0 Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 ...But if that falls through the cracks, then Harrison Ford.If he wants too much money, how about Harrison Ford?
John Crichton 4 Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 And in the unlikely event that Harrison Ford drops dead, how about Harrison Ford?
JoeinAR 1,957 Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 to the three who actually voted for someone, submit yourself for a slow, painful death, and the ridicule you deserve.
Luke Skywalker 2,385 Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 What about Tom Selleck?Sean Patrick Flannery would be the most reasoble choice. But i dont think there is place for a choice. No harrison Ford, no indy movie, that is the most reasonable thing to do.
Henry B 51 Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 And in the unlikely event that Harrison Ford drops dead, how about Harrison Ford?Another possibility would be Harrison Ford.
Guest Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 Earlier, Dennis Quaid could've made a decent one. But he's aging, too.
A24 5,156 Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 Earlier, Dennis Quaid could've made a decent one. Â But he's aging, too.Good choice, THX1138! The first time I saw him (The Right Stuff) he reminded me of Harrison Ford.----------------Alex Cremers
Kendal_Ozzel 36 Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 Despite what the others here think, I think they should use Harrison Ford.
Ollie 1,375 Posted July 17, 2004 Posted July 17, 2004 Of course if they do decide to make a 4th film I guess Harrison Ford would be a good choice.
Morlock 12 Posted July 17, 2004 Posted July 17, 2004 I agree with everyone who said Harrison Ford. And I agree with Joe about what should be done with the rest of them. Maybe if we were talking about Young Indy, than Bale wouldn't have to try and act well, but for the real thing, you need the real thing. Someone who has presence, and someone who is Harrison Ford.
John McClane 1 Posted July 17, 2004 Posted July 17, 2004 ARE YOU CRAZY?!?H A R R I S O N F O R D for LIFE ! ! ! ! !He's absolutely perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(oh, well...)
John Crichton 4 Posted July 17, 2004 Posted July 17, 2004 TJ, for some reason I just knew you were gonna say something like that. No clue where I got that idea from....
John McClane 1 Posted July 17, 2004 Posted July 17, 2004 Yes John, if I have to vote, I say Kevin Costner
Elmo Lewis 7 Posted July 17, 2004 Posted July 17, 2004 If I had to choose, I'd pick Colin Farrell. He has an Indy-like quality.-Ross, who refuses to choose nonetheless.
John Crichton 4 Posted July 17, 2004 Posted July 17, 2004 What's going on here, the poll vanished? Maybe God is telling us that Harrison Ford is Indiana Jones, no one else! LOL
Elmo Lewis 7 Posted July 17, 2004 Posted July 17, 2004 Um, scroll to the right. Stefancos has nothing to do with it.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,388 Posted July 17, 2004 Posted July 17, 2004 Thy shall not post more then 25 ! characters in a single lineNeither the overly emoticon users nor posters of foul pictures nor users of the double negative nor those who posdt in all caps nor those who type in no caps at all nor those that post only to stirr up trouble nor the people without credibility will inherit the kingdom of Steef.
Gizmo2k4 0 Posted July 17, 2004 Posted July 17, 2004 If there indeed will be a new Indy movie, and if Harrison Ford will not do it, who do you think could be a good or acceptable substitute?me
Henry B 51 Posted July 17, 2004 Posted July 17, 2004 Why is this poll needed? If Indiana Jones IV happens (big "if," mind you), Harrison Ford will reprise his role. At this point there's absolutely no evidence that he'd turn down the role, there's sort of an inseparable (for the Indy series) Lucas-Spielberg-Ford triad.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,388 Posted July 17, 2004 Posted July 17, 2004 Good point, even though other actors have portayed the role, Harrison Ford IS Indiana Jones.Sean Connery would still make a great James Bond even today, there is no reason why Ford would not be able to do the same with his signature role.
King Mark 3,975 Posted July 17, 2004 Posted July 17, 2004 Seriously it would work fine with Harrison Ford, they can inject a few age jokes in the script like they did with Captain Kirk in Star Trek 2.Maabe the movie could start he's retired and curator of the Museum, then some unforceen event brings him back into action to save the world.K.M.
Morlock 12 Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 I just hope there aren't too many age jokes. Sometimes there are age jokes just to try and exuse them squeezing out yet another sequel.
John McClane 1 Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 Remember, WITHOUT Harrison Ford, there will not be INDY 4...on that list I voted for Costner, but I like more Tom Hanks (try to think him saying "I'm Indiana, Indiana Jones!" the way he said "I'm Forrest, Forrest Guuuuuump!"!!!!!!!!!!!)
John McClane 1 Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 Harrison Ford, Harrison Ford or if they are unavailable, Harrison Ford.I don't agree with you Stefan now, I prefer Harrison Ford a lot. - TJ
Rogue_Leader 2 Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 Uusually I would go with Harrison Ford but by the time they get around to making this thing the man will be needing Viagra just to get his ummmmmmm "whip" to function properly. Beyond him I would say Viggo Mortensen. The guy is American and he does KIND OF have an Indy persona about him.
Henry B 51 Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 TommyJohnson, please remove the excessive explanation marks in Post 22.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,388 Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 Really, how do gays look, exactly?
John McClane 1 Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 Really, how do gays look, exactly?Like Viggo Mortensen!! Of course I'm joking, but IMO Viggo would be a very poor Indy.
John McClane 1 Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 What do you think Alex, in this pic he's definitely not Indy-like!
A24 5,156 Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 No, not Viggo! Now here's the new Indy. And look, he's coming on his horse! What a hero, guys!
A24 5,156 Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 Let's zoom in on him, shall we? You have to picture this with the Raiders march.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,388 Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 Indiana Jones on a black horse?NEVER!
A24 5,156 Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 Closer, closer and ... closer. By now the music of Williams is almost cheering! Hooray goes the woodwinds! Bravo goes the brass!
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,388 Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 Unfortunetly the music would be "Jim's New Life.", not The Raiders March.
A24 5,156 Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 By God, is it Harrison Ford returning from his quest for the Holy Grail?
