Wojo 2,458 Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 I don't.Is that artwork the same on the back of every single Extended DVD?
Jay 46,245 Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 No. Also the real ones will surely have MGM logos on them
Wojo 2,458 Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 I honestly haven't looked at the back of any of my EE DVDs since fitting their slipcases into the big box you get after buying all three.
Marian Schedenig 11,695 Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Where was one supposed to get that?
Jay 46,245 Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 I mailed away for mine. Or you can just re-buy them with the box already includedhttp://www.amazon.com/dp/B000654ZK0/
Luke Skywalker 2,386 Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 its the typical "damn, i should have waited until the trilogy was completed" re-issue problem...
Jay 46,245 Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Not at all, I was very glad I bought them as they came out. I think it only cost $5 to mail away for the slip-case to hold them all. I think it was a coupon included inside the ROTK EE if I remember correctly (it was 8 years ago!)
Luke Skywalker 2,386 Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 i doubt the offer was in spain.they never care for those things here...

Rachael Foley 10,164 Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Just confirmed! Play as characters from The Hobbit Trilogy in the new video game, Guardians of Middle-earth, set for release on December 4, 2012 for PlayStation Network and on Xbox Live Arcade later this fall: http://bit.ly/R4zmPI
gkgyver 1,647 Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Radagast still looks just incredibly ... overdesigned. Pretty much all the costumes in LotR look like people might actually wear them every day. Radagast, however, just looks very very artificial.
KK 3,313 Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 P.S: I just noticed KK got his avatar from an artwork for this game. He has lost any kind of credibility, as far as I'm concerned. You're rather slow aren't you? Where else could it have come from? There were no new Gandalf pics at the time, and I liked this one looked at the time. That has nothing to do with how I feel about those horrid games.Radagast still looks just incredibly ... overdesigned. Pretty much all the costumes in LotR look like people might actually wear them every day. Radagast, however, just looks very very artificial. The Radagast image in the poster disturbs me very much. Again, they're reading too much into his whole "animal-lover" personality. I mean come on, bird shit in his hair 24/7? Just how ridiculous can you get? Radagast looks like a one-costumed character and feels, as you said, very artificial.
Wojo 2,458 Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 I mean come on, bird shit in his hair 24/7? Just how ridiculous can you get?
Quintus 6,499 Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Guess I'm the only one who likes the direction they've gone with Radagast. Not that he's a major character or anything.
Incanus 5,891 Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Yes you are the only one. The world at large hates the wee man with bird droppings all over him and that defeated stoned look on his face and awful garb and hat and aaaaarrrrggggggghhhhh. I hate that Radagast design!!!!!!
Incanus 5,891 Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 And miss the Bunnies of Doom!!?? Not on your life!
Quintus 6,499 Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Good point. Lee - hoping they get their own spin-off movie. Hop to it.
KK 3,313 Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Lee - hoping they get their own spin-off movie. Hop to it.The third Middle-Earth trilogy then? 10 hours of seeing the Bunnies of Doom in action! Not sure if the world is ready for that kind of experience yet.Fanarts? Don't try to use the slow card with me, Merciful One!Why? It's fun!
Luke Skywalker 2,386 Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 i cannot identify radagast's owl.Must be a new zealand species
Luke Skywalker 2,386 Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 but it by the least keeps it's feathers clean...
Wojo 2,458 Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 The owl is clean because Radagast licks it clean, like a mother cat.
Luke Skywalker 2,386 Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 cat's clean themselves.radagast should learn.Rabbits also spent a lot of their daily time grooming themselves.
KK 3,313 Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Hobbit coins become legal tender.Yet another one of New Zealand's desperate attempts to exploit the Middle-Earth craze.
Marian Schedenig 11,695 Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Not at all, I was very glad I bought them as they came out. I never knew that. Not that I care that much now, with the Blu-ray box.
Once 1,085 Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 I want to know the 13 secret spoilers! Maybe new dwarf names..
Delorean90 47 Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 I want to know the 13 secret spoilers! alicebrallice 1
Koray Savas 2,260 Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 cat's clean themselves.Cats actually groom their kittens and even continue to do so after they have grown into adulthood.Oh snap! Schooled the teacher!
KK 3,313 Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 Well at least we know he'll get a decent staff and not some Hogwarts style wand.Anyways, some new pics of father and son:And Elrond in armour:
Incanus 5,891 Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Elrond looks badass in the last picture! Great armor design. And comparing Ian McKellen's Gandalf in the stamp picture to the McCoy's Radagast is like comparing a perfect translation of a novel character into movie form to a freakish oddity. Gandalf looks so iconic and quintessential there, Radagast like comic relief crazy person.
Quintus 6,499 Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 I'm not seeing it, Incy. The comic relief in Radagast.
Incanus 5,891 Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 That old man has me worrying too. Many a sleepless night and awful nightmares I have endured because of him. alicebrallice 1
Quintus 6,499 Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 A great shadow is rising in the East (of Mikko's bedroom). The impending doom that is The Hobbit blu-ray, bought out of bitter loyalty to the series. The bane of which was Radagast the Brown - he being the Istari portrayal to undo them all, the raping of LotR sealed in one fell swoop. The four movies will stand side by side upon high, on the shelf, mocking Mikko as did Melkor before them, when he laughed in the faces of all who opposed him. But he was chained, locked away forever. Is that to be the fate too of Mikko's Middle-Earth DVDs?Oh Radagast, what hast thou done?
