Easter breakfast. consisting of spiced Easter bread with butter, Matsos with cheese and ham )as a references to Passover and my Jewish roots), two boiled eggs.

Appropriately themed move (probably The Passion Of The Christ)

I realized I don't really have much of an idea of Easter type music.

It's that time of year to dust off Jesus Christ Superstar. And The Ten Commandments.

In this time of year, I'm particularly fond of King of Kings (The Lord's Prayer does it for me) and The Gospel of John

I am taking a listen of the Greatest Story Ever Told by Alfred Newman and most likely some Rózsa later via Jeff Danna's Gospel of John.

I don't consider The Greatest Story Ever Told the strongest Bible score (even by Newman, I prefer the Robe), but it contains what probably is my favorite Christ theme

Actually I took this opporturnity to discover Newman's score. I have never listened to the entire thing before.

Spending it in my small, southern hometown at my parents' place (even though they are away....it's just me and my brother). Tomorrow, I'll have some sort of Easter quiz here -- need to think about a music quiz.

Not sure about Easter scores. Never really thought about that in the same way I do, say, Christmas scores.

I'll eat some chocolate egg with my daughter and watch Breaking Bad late in the evening.

Actually, Sunday night I'll celebrate the resurrection with the deaths of countless zombies and Georgia survivors when The Walking Dead concludes this season.

Posted

I'll spend Easter working, and listening to various soundtracks in the car.

Easter hasn't been a big deal for me for a long time. I like the eggs though, and its symbolic meaning of new life.

I know relgion isn't an allowed topic on the board, but as Christian this by far the most important period of the year for me. I always find tremendous solace

I know what you mean.

Be sure not to mix the two.

Hmm, note to self: remember that common sense is a premium on the internet.

I am working nights, over the Easter weekend, so I'll spend the first part of Easter Sunday in the land of nod. When I do get up, I'll potter around, and listen to suitably ecumenical stuff ("Passion" by Peter Gabriel is essential-nice one, Stefan). "J.C. Superstar" is good, but it only tells half of the story...Still ,there's only one Jesus Christ, and it's Ian Gillan! Actually, I might just play "Jesus Of Nazereth".

I attended a passover meal, earlier-on in the week. I was uncomfortable at the thought of this...Jewish ritual, but I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and my face didn't melt!

I will have a belated treat on Easter Monday, when I watch Chelsea thrash Man U. in the F.A. Cup replay!

I'm currently watching The Eiger Sanction. I've known the score since the late 80s or early 90s when I bought the CD, but I've never seen the film before. I'm loving it so far. I can't believe how much actual climbing Eastwood is doing in this film.

"Stragglers vill be shot!"

"Only zee lucky ones!".

Not sure if it's very "Eastery", Pixie, but it's a solid film, nonetheless.

"The Bells Of Saint John" is rather brilliant, BTW.

Easter used to be a family gathering and someone would always make a nice ham for dinner and then we would watch The 10 Commandments.

However times change and the only thing planned is to cook a brisket. I'll spend tomorrow watching basketball and golf and sleeping in until 9:00 am or 10:00 am unless the Mrs. follows through on her comments and make me go to church with her.

Just another quiet Sunday.

I went to the Cabo de Gata Natural Park. I made some trekking among volcanic landscapes and some beautiful cliffs, beaches and both fossilized and mobile sand dunes, saw some small castles a few centuries old built against pirate attacks, saw flamingoes, ate local fish. And the coolest thing was a several hours trek through a 2 km long cave (with a difference in height of 50 m) excavated on gypsum by rains, I think there were like 111 km of caves in total.

On the way back I saw from the road the local desert where they shot westerns as well as the area around Guadix that looks like some short of Star Wars planet and the forests and snowy peaks in Sierra Nevada. And a castle that appears in The Wind and the Lion. And some other stuff. I'll let that for next Easter.
