Ollie 1,375 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Oh good grief.Come on Blume, I figured you would get it.
BLUMENKOHL 1,110 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I don't have a crush on him like you!I don't know what these terms mean!
Ollie 1,375 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I can't wait to hear and see what he does in the next Hobbit film.
Jay 46,244 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Mark, you never saw War Horse? And you don't watch Sherlock?
BLUMENKOHL 1,110 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 You should give Sherlock a whirl.War Horse...zzzZZZZzzzzZzzzz
Jay 46,244 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I'm surprised there are so many people on this board who don't see every movie Spielberg makes still....
Ollie 1,375 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 He's lost me. His films aren't that interesting anymore.
Jay 46,244 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Tintin was awesome!War Horse and Lincoln were very interesting
Wojo 2,458 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I watched Tintin just to say I did, but it won't get a second viewing. In the past 20 years, I have seen only six other Spielberg-directed movies: Jurassic Park, The Lost World, Saving Private Ryan, Catch Me if You Can, War of the Worlds, and Indiana Jones 4. He stopped being a must-see director for me...a while ago. BLUMENKOHL 1
Jay 46,244 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I get not rushing out to see his films in the theater anymore, but I don't get not seeing them at all.
KK 3,313 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I watched Tintin just to say I did, but it won't get a second viewing. Jay 46,244 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Minority Report, AI, and The Terminal are all well worth wstching
Brónach 1,330 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I watched Tintin just to say I did, but it won't get a second viewing. And I really, really enjoy A.I. As for Minority Report, it might not be a perfect film but it's a lot of fun.
KK 3,313 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 i think Minority Report is a really good film, and I hold it in high esteem. It's not perfect, but I prefer it to A.I.
Trent B 354 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I too liked the new trailer. The movie looks like it might be better than the first one.
Jay 46,244 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Finally saw the trailer in HD with the sound on. Definitely looks like an entertaining film! Though I admit towards the end of the trailer I was getting kinda lost. Three trailers and the plot hasn't really been laid out that well, they are clearing keeping a ton under wraps still.I wonder how long the movie will be? Seems like it'll be a long one.Couldn't tell you one thing about the music in the trailer, didn't even notice it.... it was just there.
JoeinAR 1,957 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I watched Tintin just to say I did, but it won't get a second viewing. As for Minority Report, it might not be a perfect film but it's a lot of fun.No Munich is the worst of those, he's made many better films in and around the mess that is munich. As for the new Star Trek trailer, I was excited after reading Blume's comments and about the new Star Ship but was completely underwelmed again. I just don't know what to think of this.fortunately I have less than a month to find out.Keeping my fingers crossed.
crocodile 9,724 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Watched the new trailer. Still not convinced.Karol
Trent B 354 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Couldn't tell you one thing about the music in the trailer, didn't even notice it.... it was just there. The music seemed like typical generic trailer music to me.
Jay 46,244 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Exactly - which is fine, I don't need trailer music to be anything remarkable, just get the job done. I am opposing it to Man Of Steel's new trailer I saw right after, which had music that took me out of the trailer and made me think about how bad the music I was hearing was. Unfortunate.
crocodile 9,724 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Maybe that is exactly what's rubs me the wrong way, as one indiviudual on this board was fond of saying.Karol
Jay 46,244 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 What do you mean, the MOS trailer music rubs you the wrong way? Or STID's?
crocodile 9,724 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Well, that is Star Trek thread... right?Karol
Jay 46,244 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Ah, so you're saying because of the music used in the trailer you'd not convinced the film will be good?
crocodile 9,724 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 No quite. I'm saying it doesn't make it look good,.Karol
Jay 46,244 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I think it will be a fun action romp, but nothing much greater than that.
JoeinAR 1,957 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I'm still curious because of Abrams statement he wanted us to leave the theatre crying...in what way, happy sad, sad sad?
Jay 46,244 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Where did he make that statement? First I'm hearing it.
Wojo 2,458 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 http://www.contactmusic.com/news/j-j-abrams-star-trek-2-will-make-fans-cry_3464611
JoeinAR 1,957 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 thanks Wojo, I thought I read it here first.perhaps i read it off site.
Jay 46,244 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Thanks! I guess happy sad, thenDirector J.J. Abrams promises the sequel to 2009's franchise reboot will have audiences in tears at the end of the film thanks to its message of hope and love triumphing over fear.Though I'm sure he'll kill off a major character or two as well
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,388 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Oh yes, Spock is a goner for sure!
Ollie 1,375 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 With exception of the first teaser, there's one character that's been absent from all the other previews I believe.
Rachael Foley 10,164 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I have not really studied the trailers but...is it chekov?
Wojo 2,458 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 He's one. I haven't seen much Sulu either. Rand and Chapel haven't been shown at all yet in this continuum, have they?
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,388 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I hear Chapel's an MD now?
Rachael Foley 10,164 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Chapel haven't been shown at all yet in this continuum, have they?I believe chapel was in the "big hands" scene in 2009.
Jay 46,244 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Checkov can't be seen in the newest trailer at all, and I don't think he was in the last trailer either. Sulu has barely had any lines in the trailers, but he is shown on the bridge a lot.Kirk/Spock/Bones/Scotty/Uhura are all featured plentifullyI think Pike, Carol Marcus, and whatever Peter Weller's character's name is are the most likely to die, besides Cumberbatch of course
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,388 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 That would mean David will never be born!
