there are giants, and then there are GIANTS.

This man was a GIANT. Ray is a legend, his work beyond extraordinary. He brought imagination to life.

we are all fanboys because of men like him.

RIP Ray,

that's because you guys are uber geeks for it. see your avatars if you disagree,

Artistically the Hobbit is a short enough book to be one film, not everything has to be there. Its the same mistake that CC made with the Sorceror's Stone, not everything had to be there.

Editing is good. You guys can still have your book but you could have a quality movie rather than the incomprehensible mess that is the Hobbit part 1.

I've made homemade butter using cream, just place it in a mason jar and shake, after awhile the butter will separate from the butter milk. Strain the butter milk off and wrap the solids in some plastic wrap or wax paper. quick make a piece of toast.

Potatoes are wonderful,

they are wonderful steamed, boiled, baked, grilled, roasted, stir fried, pan fried, and deep fried.

Dave nixed Chinese since he's exhausted from mowing and doesn't want to go out.

it was all based on Spock's guess which Kirk trusted more than most people's facts.

The best popping 3D moment by far was:

Spoiler

The best moment where it felt like there was a ton of dimension into the screen:

Spoiler

I was telling Stefan that in some parts of the movie the 3D is so good I was trying to look around objects in the foreground to see the background.

Dave and I waited for one of Cinema's great lines.

Ian: "Now, eventually you do plan to have dinosaurs on your dinosaur tour, right? Hello? Yes?" Hammond: "I really hate that man!"

so perfect

his love of film was genuine, his reviews less of a criticism and more an expression of his personal feelings about a film.

I imagine that Gene was waiting for him and they are now laughing about how bad the prequels turned out. He is whole where he is now.

perhaps that's a given, but the little fishies just ruin a pizza for me.

the salami and mushrooms sounds good,

but Pepperoni and mushrooms is probably my fav. combination of ingredients.

And no cheese or tomatosauce?
