  1. !BREAKING NEWS!! Peter Golub replaces John Williams as composer on the upcoming 'Star Wars - Episode IX'. Williams dropped out of the film due to 'scheduling conflicts,' according to a statement from Disney. Golub replaces Williams, who regrettably pulled out of work on the epic sci-fi film and decided to focus on Steven Spielberg's 'West Side Story'. Peter Golub is one of the most respected and renowned composers in film today. This is Donna's post, obviously a joke,
  2. I do not know how, but we could try at least. This is the greatest community of Williams fans.
  3. Elina Vähälä's performance of Corigliano's Red Violin Concerto with the DSO is amazing. http://site-323590.bcvp0rtal.com/detail/videos/made-in-america/video/4354523160001/john-corigliano-the-red-violin-concerto?autoStart=true
  4. I like this video of the Jedi steps and finale very much
  5. Here's one by a spanish ochestra: https://open.spotify.com/track/2sUSpUJ4j3EGJ1wErHLPDW
  6. Both A. I. Score and film. Masterpieces both.
  7. I have read his first book and I enjoyed it . But I despise his behavior on this forum and Facebook . It behaves like a spammer . No question answered , just spam
  8. This is a reminder for me not to share anything again in this forum. Quid pro quo does not work here.
  9. Dark magic of course. I guess only the choosen ones can watch it.

  11. Link to the streaming mp3, for those who want to keep it: http://streams.wgbh.org/online/clas/bso/bso160521.mp3
  12. I don't get the point in relasing something analog that has been recorded in studio digitally. And there will be people stating that it sounds better than the CD.
  13. That's what I expected, I mean it's Star Wars we are talking about, the general moviegoer only would pay atention to it if it was something completely new o Zimmerish. If it works in the film, this kind of short review will say nothing aboyt the music. Tomorrow the embargo will be over and thoughtfull reviews will be far more detailed.
  14. The mini review I post was enthusiastic about the music and comes from a guy whose lengthy reviews in a famous spanish cinema magazine, always had space left for how the the music worked inside the film. Now he no longer works for the spanish magazine, Imagenes de actualidad, but I trust his criteria over some random guys talking in some forums or twitter.
  15. No, he really liked the movie: #StarWarsForceAwakens is absolutely sensational #StarWars #TheForceAwakensPremiere Now it's been over two hours after #StarWarsForceAwakens I can say it took me back to 1977 and 1980 when I saw V&VI. What better compliment?
  16. Josep Parera, a spanish journalists who works in L.A. just posted this: #JohnWilliams is the savior, the master and the genius again of #StarWars #TheForceAwakens #TheForceAwakensPremiere
  17. But, it's not an easy decision. Dudamel's a Deutche Grammophone artist, so in order to appear his conducting on the album, there should have been an agreement between the labels.
  18. Whoah! No DVD-ROM with trailers in SD and wallpapers??? What are they thinking of???
  19. At https://www.facebook.com/lucasfilm/you can find a longer version of the trailer. The quality of the sound is simply horrible, there's an excess of compression, but I have no doubt that the music is by Williams, the first part is new and the last part is from the second trailer.
  20. For me there is no doubt this is Williams. The sound is simply horrible but I don't think es synthy, just bad compression with a sinthy drum and bass over it.
