  1. I think it works when its meant to emphasize Oppenheimers POV, maybe less so when we're focusing on Strauss. They at least did know to have the scene before the bomb drop preparations be one of the silent ones, to have a break... (even if that break was the horror of choosing what city to bomb) edit: also noticed a lot of the microediting this time around. But I suppose thats understandable for the OST, because not everyone would be able to enjoy Trinity being almost twice as long
  2. I just saw the movie in an IMAX screening, and while the music was certainly near omnipresent I cant say it was particularly loud (except for key moments of course) Maybe mixing was just worse in some places?
  3. I think the middle of Temple of Boom is Sundown from season 6 No clue what the middle of Tangled Web is.
  4. The album isnt even as long as a standard OST these days tho, if you exclude the bonus tracks!
  5. Man my list would just have the usual suspects on it. And Fiddler on the Roof doesnt really count I think.
  6. I could have sworn The Imitation Game had a very distinct unhappy ending because of the homophobic medical treatments he had to endure.
  7. Time to ask where those extra tracks belong in the Across the Spider Verse https://music.apple.com/nz/album/spider-man-across-the-spider-verse-original-score/1700549348
  8. Now give us the scene where the T-rex smashes into their home. https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/jurassicpark/images/6/60/Sasha_Spielberg_and_T-rex_BTS.jpg/revision/latest/
  9. I presume it was not in the FYC for a reason. Though it does not sound like it came from any previous JP score to me. Though if a JP3 release eventually happens I really want to have those film mixes of the Spinosaurus scenes. I like it more without the heavy brass.
  10. John Murphy sure loves his 20 second cues.
  11. Based on that sample I do miss some of the sounds used for the original soundtrack, since this is an orchestral re-release. But I am glad this is finally happening.
  12. Well that link is atoms now. But I did like that track
  13. Oh its only like Tenet in a few parts, but its a lot calmer and orchestral in more parts. You can actually hear actual instruments. I am also assuming Trinity is the music for THAT moment, because that was a climax and a half.
  14. Its already more palatable (and I didnt even dislike Tenets score that much) Still weird to hear the Tenet wail in here.
  15. 5:14 was the best part yeah, but I did like the mood of the first track. It sounded the least derivative of either Tenet or Hans Zimmers Dark Phoenix. (Not that I dislike those soundtracks, I just expected more of a new sound)
  16. Yeah if they wanted to highlight the violin+synth idea, they picked a bad sample for the end of the featurette.
  17. I dig the intenser almost radioactive parts. Probably wont work as a standard listenable score, but I am a weirdo who likes that stuff. Not seeng a movie because of the score is just silly tho.
  18. That just means it has 12 times more chances to win! Okay I will admit that as much as I enjoyed Andor's score, it getting in over some other choices is baffling. I guess overall show quality does influence the mind.
  19. After all this time I have yet to see an album that makes me support JW's decisions.
  20. We got that but not the music for the shapechanger chase. Shame!
  21. Seems to be the case, thanks I blame draw distance not loading in the assets when I warp into the area.
  22. Arent extended batteries gated behind boss progression? The shops I visit dont want to restock at all.
