From what I picked up on some Obi-Wan Kenobi interviews (they had to get permission by John to use his themes - and they only were allowed to use them in the last episode) maybe also John Williams himself doesn't want Lucasfilm to commercialise the f*ck out of his music (anymore). But I don't know if he even would have the right to decide that or not.

A little bit of the score here, nice they're using it in promotional material.
This score is by trailer composer Blakus:

This special live concert event celebrates the unforgettable role music plays in video games. Lorne Balfe leads the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra in music selections and suites from Arcane, Diablo, Elden Ring, Final Fantasy® XVI, God of War, Hades, Hogwarts Legacy, League of Legends, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Starfield, Star Wars Jedi, and The Last of Us.

Unreleased music from episodes 1-4, or what is most likely music from 5-8 that will be on Vol 2 this Friday?
Uh I'm not even sure XD. Maybe it's just bits and pieces from season 1 or 2 that I can't remember. Hopefully some more experienced people (@Knight of Ren ) can help...

What do you mean by "more symphonic style"
more orchestral approaches and also thematic approaches
-
Also nice information about some themes!
As far as I can hear, they also play yet unreleased music in this episode in the background?
-
Nice epsiode! Great to hear that the more symphonic style was not only requested by Joseph, but also by the showrunners themselves!

Damn, what a great finale!
What I particularly enjoyed about this last episode was the "harmonic diversity", if you can say so. It's something I've already noticed throughout the season and I find it very pleasing.
None of Shirley's music sounded boring or "empty". It always has a certain way of uniqueness that interacts so well with the picture!
Shirley's style is a bit more "traditional" than Göransson's, he uses more orchestral and melodic approaches, which I welcome very much.
The moment when Grogu saved everyone from the fire was so well scored, the music really stands out, I look forward to hearing that again on the album!
The action scoring wasn't too generic either, and I love the new themes he's come up with throughout the season and how he arranged them in this episode.
Several cues from this season will be making their way into my go-to film music playlist, surely more than from Season 1 and 2 combined.
I'm definitely looking forward to Shirley's next projects! -
What a great episode! I had my reservations in the middle of the season, but in the end they managed it well! I wonder what will happen in the next seasons though. Will they focus more on the rebuilding of Mandalore or on the adventures of Din Djarin and Din Grogu...? I'm definitely interested in both!

At this point it seems some people don't want to enjoy this. This new soundtrack is going to be freakin awesome!!

Your last name could be a Star Wars character
Well, most people tend to draw associations with Harry Potter... https://harrypotter.fandom.com/wiki/Mykew_Gregorovitch
have not been placed in Star Wars before XD

From what we can hear it sounds classic JW action scoring! He still got it!

Nicholas Britell at the Celebration? Nice

The album is absolutely great! What an entertaining listening experience!
I think the first half is better than the second though. The action score towards the end gets a bit "boring" when the movie isn't playing along with it.
But I can't wait to see the movie with it in theaters then!

Wow, I feel like I am in 2015 again! I am sooo hyped for all those new projects!

This is so much better than the AI presidents!

Any recommendations for the Spitfire Flash 50% off sale?
Depends on the sounds you want, but generally speaking I think Abbey Road One (you can purchase the whole bundle, https://www.spitfireaudio.com/abbey-road-one-the-collection) is the best stuff Spitfire produced so far. If you want some more 'experimental' / 'synth' ones I can recommend Polaris (https://www.spitfireaudio.com/polaris), which recreates synths using orchestral instruments. If you want more intimate libraries, 'Heirloom' (https://www.spitfireaudio.com/heirloom) might be of interest.
