  1. I think JoeinAr is entitled to bring this up as much as he wants (like everyone else). Keep in mind that he (we) are part of a minority (at least in this forum), regarding A.I.. If those who love the movie can't accept that we have a different opinion, what else have we got?
  2. It doesn't get tired with you guys that love it. I like reading your commentaries, altough I don't share your opinion
  3. Hhmm... You DON'T "have" to defend it from those who think it's bad! We ACCEPT that you LOVE the movie! Can't you accept that we dislike it/hate it?
  4. Hmm.. You don't have to get why some people have a different opinion. In fact, it's practically impossible that we understand why each other has a different opinion about this, or any movie/score, etc. Good! As I said before, it's perfectly normal that we don't understand why others have a different opinion. How on earth can you say that someone else's opinion is an exaggeration?. It's NOT your opinion!
  5. Apparently we were visiting the official site at the same time... How many confirmations do you need? :alien:
  6. How do you know that ROTJ is Williams' favorite score (from the SW saga, I assume)? BTW, I love the movie and the score. Here's Ricard's SW scores rating: 1) The Empire Strikes Back (10/10) AND Return of the Jedi (10/10) 2) Star Wars: A New Hope (8'5/10) 3) The Phantom Menace (5/10) 4) Attack of the Clones (3/10)
  7. They both had the same covers. And there's no other cover for Temple of Doom, unless Luke means John Takis' home made artwork for his expanded 2CD set, which was available online 2 years ago
  8. Sorry, but that's completely inaccurate. The TPM UE (like the movie itself) contains multiple loopings, omissions and edits from beginning to end. Perhaps you're not aware of them, but they DO exist. Sorry again, but that's one of the most ridiculous statements I've read in a long time.
  9. According to the article from The Hollywood Reporter the DVD extras will include an exclusive interview with Spielberg "and a glimpse of the live orchestral performance" conducted by Williams at the premiere. Which confirms the previous report from DVDFile which mentioned that there would be images from the performance.
  10. This is the best listing currently available: http://www.johnwilliams.org/news/performances.html
  11. Well, I was only comparing it with the other re-recordings, not with the original soundtrack recordings I couldn't disagree more
  12. The new edition of Legend is a re-release of the 1992 expanded edition (previously available on abridged LP only), which I believe was OOP. It's one of Goldsmith's best scores, and it belongs to his best year ever: the glorious 1985 (Baby, Rambo: First Blood Part II, King Solomon's Mines, Explorers & Legend)
  13. Born on the Fourth of July is definitely NOT a one-theme score, although the expanded release does sound repetitive if you don't LOVE the main themeS. Presumed Innocent contains one major theme only, but it is developed quite nicely throughout the score (IMHO). Accidental Tourist has a couple of good variations of the main theme, but it's definitely a repetitive release.
  14. No, there aren't links to the old site on the new one. I post those links here as a 'special favor'
  15. That album IS the BEST re-recording of a Star Wars score... ever. Get it... NOW!
  16. This was already posted by IrishCal24 on Tue Jun 04, 2002 at 3:28 pm: "The trailer is complete, or almost anyway. The Leaky Cauldron has posted some low-quality stills and an mp3 of the audio track. The music is nothing new and no video is available yet. Also, the official site has posted a scan of the teaser poster" http://jwfan.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=266 ============================================== See also the new additions to the right column of the main page (which were posed last night). Thanks
  17. To be honest, I think that Hook is OK and The Lost World is a wonderful film (MUCH better than Jurassic Park -which I consider Spielberg's second worst film after A.I.) But that's just me
  18. I know. That's why I posted the emoticons...  And I posted the link just in case someone wasn't aware of that confirmation.
  19. The original report (which did not cite any source whatsoever) appeared on Dark Horizons. You're correct, it's still a rumor... but I don't bet on it...
  20. You know this has been discussed before... DON'T YOU? Earlier this year there was an 'unofficial confirmation' of Williams involvement in the next two chapters of the HP saga. You remember that, DON'T YOU?  http://jwfan.net/jwfan-old/harrypotter
  21. http://jwfan.net/jwfan-old/tuba/main.htm You're welcome
