My copy has the stain and the first 2 tracks are the ones with issues that I've noticed. I'm getting mixed results with playback on various CD players and cannot rip the first 2 cues to iTunes at without clicks. So I went ahead and filed a claim and sent pictures and an audio file to Misty at Concord.

I believe there was an interview with Giacchino where he mentioned they used Williams original sketches from Episode 4 and recorded it.

Finally Thor is going to get a good score. Doyle’s is basically polished Zimmer. Tyler’s is too damn loud and overbearing. As much as I loved Ragnarok, I don’t remember any of the music.

Hopefully something with a holiday flavor. Polar Express maybe?

I have the 2 disc set but not the re-recording. I’ve been holding off with the hope someone would re-issue the album.

I have the 30th anniversary of Fiddler On The Roof but don’t listen to it much. I’ll probably get this since Mike Matessino worked on it. I am excited the Diary of Anne Frank is finally released.

I already had the Futureland version of Akira Ifukube’s score to Varan but the Cinema-Kan is supposed to have improved sound and more music.

The 4CD set has piqued my interest greatly. I’m going to assume they issued it previously but it could have been from different label as well.

No, there have been plenty of garbage movies made since cinema began. It may feel that way because films are made differently these days, multiplexes allow for more films to be seen and social media/cable/ streaming also gives a viewer more chances than say 30 years ago. But I’ve questioned why I’ve wasted 2 hrs watching films from the 30’s thru the 80’s just much as I have with cinema the last 20 years.

I’m indifferent to this. Never cared for the Matrix films outside of Davis’ music. Would have been interesting to hear how he tackled them some 18 years later.

It’s almost as if the execs at Paramount asked him to write a theme similar to bland ones the had for Picard, Discovery etc etc. I enjoy it more than those other themes but it seems to follow a trend. Almost feels like Rick Berman is still in charge.
