Tallguy got a reaction from Pellaeon in Star Trek is better than everything
Gotta say "cosplay" beats the hell out of "garb".
I'm not sure if I ever met John, but I met Bjo just before TNG went on the air. (I might have met both of them at the same time. But she was the one who had written a book.)

The scene between Emerie & Echo was one of my favourites this episode. It's very short but made such an impact.
Rampart is such a funny man. The way he just ran away and yelled all the time was hilarious.
As I said before, I can't imagine the finale being a 20 minutes episode. It has to be longer. I hope The Emperor returns and that that Zillo Beast goes on a rampage. That would be awesome!!

Hold on, hold on just a second... That "Space Jockey" had a substantial dollar value attached to it!

We are the United States Government. We don't do that sort of thing.

Sneakers quote. Dan Akroyd is a conspiracy theorist. And so is his character.

I'm not a Blunt expert, but the visceral rawness she displayed in the aforementioned films, A QUIET PLACE and EDGE OF TOMORROW (two brilliant films, btw), was great.

"Algorithms" is a much scarier word that "focus testing" or even "decisions by the suits".
Every time there is a breakout success like Oppenheimer or Dune going back to Star Wars and certainly beyond everyone says "Oh! Someone took a big gamble and trusted the audience" or whatever. But then there is some weird thing that is an absolute disaster (like... Dune) and everyone says "Who thought THIS was a good idea?!?"
"So! You've got a new movie for me?" "Yes sir, I do!"

I learned the word algorithms when I was 13 from the novelization of Tron. Flynn would describe his chemistry with Lora by obnoxiously declaring "Algorithms!"
(Yup. I'm a nerd going way back now.)

The Alien extended cut was in theaters in 2003. I dragged my fiance to it.
ANYWAY, I wish they were showing Aliens (theatrical cut, please) in cinemas just because my kids have now seen Alien but not Aliens yet.

Say what you want, but the one that gave me a lifetime phobia was Kingdom of the Spiders!

Cosplay just sounds like bedroom roleplay. I hate it. Now if I was a Furry, then it might be appropriate.
As a former 501st member, I liked the use of the word “Trooping”, as in “you Trooping that event on Friday?”
or
Indiana Jones costumers have it right. It’s Gear. “I threw on my Gear for the Con.”

Maverick being a huge hit in the summer of '22 and MI : Dead Reckoning failing to be last summer (especially unexpected for a franchise that has delivered success after success) illustrates 'nobody knows anything' quite well, I think.

I don't think my teenagers were scared like crawling over the backs of their chairs scared. (But then, neither was I.) But it was scary enough and they liked the movie.
Now playing Alien: Isolation? Whoooo, that's different.
We should watch The Thing while they're still young enough to be messed up.

Reminds me of the story a couple of years ago when the Culture Secretary of the UK had a meeting with Microsoft executives and reportedly asked them when they were going to get rid of algorithms.
