I guess it must be me, but TOY STORY 3 just doesn't move me, at all. It's a competent, well-made film, but reducing me to tears? F**k that. 

I sincerely hope that Kylo Ren dies, right after he kills Luke. Off the wall? Maybe, but GL wanted to say that even the worst people can be redeemed, and he said it well, in ROTJ. 
There are, however, some people in life who do not want to be redeemed. They are bad, and have no intention of becoming good. Kylo Ren is a c**t. He's an interesting c**t, and he's a conflicted c**t, but he's definitely a c**t. I would prefer to see him not turn back to the light side, and to die as a dark side c**t should. Of course, I doubt that this shall happen. It's just my new hope.

I have to admit that I have never listened to this score all the way through.  I had listened to the main theme a time or two over the years, but never dug into it from beginning to end.  The main theme is very malleable to fit many moods, and it never grows stale in its many uses throughout, but after hearing the whole thing, it's definitely a score I have to be in a specific state of mind for.  Thankfully I seemed to be in the right one.
 

Anyone who likes The Division Bell is my enemy.  Godawful album.

APOCALYPSE RESCHEDULED

They don't even bother trying to change me. They figure out early on how much of a stubborn son of a bitch I am.
 
They also seem to self-libricate at the thought of a 'dominant' male, which often means violently aggressive. It wasn't really until recent years that I worked this one out. Women's biological evolution is still 40,000 years behind civilised men. They think violent men, or at least men with greater potential for violence makes them greater protectors of the cave or the homestead. Of course we don't have caves or homesteads anymore, but I don't think they have the brain power to process that.
 
This gap has never been more prominent than lately how so many young dudes are choosing to become more like women.

In condensed form, I feel this is a superior adventure score to Raiders. Goldsmith just manages to capture the romance of federa hats, leather jackets and beautiful women in a way that John Williams never seemed to manage.
 
Supergirl
 
The expanded is great, but this OST is addictive. While everyone else is out sucking up to John Williams for that overrated hackwork he did in '78, Goldsmith proved he was superior once more with this monument to grace, beauty, adventure and heroism. Marvelous work.
