I've seen better. Having seen the real thing right before it didn't help things. 

It's a nice movie for when your feeling sick and can't do anything else but lie down on the couch. 

Sounded surprisingly good on my Pioneer whiskey barrel speakers.

The trailer did put me off, Richard, but I wanted to make sure. I stopped watching after 30 minutes or so.

The humor in Vol.1 is realistic. It's the kind of humor that occurs when you put a bunch of guys in a spaceship or an office. If you don't like that kind of spontaneous character interaction then the stiff Star Wars Prequels are your movies.  However, with Vol.2, things tend to get overboard. Some of it felt forced, the balance was lost. 
 
I wasn't a big fan of Thor Ragnarok. Maybe it was the kind of humor, or maybe it was too much, don't remember.

Joker is a great example, the only reason it earned over a billion dollars in box office was because its connection with Batman and DC. If the movie was about a random poor guy with mental illness, it would've struggle to find its audience.

Alex, do you really think that Spielberg talks like that? I've never found that.
Granted, he talks a lot, and doesn't say much, but I've always thought that he's generally harmless.
Even at 74 years of age, I still look upon him as a nerd.

To care for them is virtually impossible. The villain is bluntly drawn, he's just evil in a simplistic way and lacks any form of subtlety or humor. Some of the character interactions are badly handled, the ones with the older Indian woman in particular. The shot where she said "We're at war with the future" is a good example of that.

Secret agents, exotic locations, big set pieces, a supervillain, ... It's a James Bond movie with some science fiction thrown into the mix. If John David Washington was British, the Broccoli family would have found their first black James Bond. Watchable even though the 'inverted' concept is confusing. Göransson's electronic score works. 6/10

Let's hope WWII will be better but I doubt it. I mean ...

Heck, I'm probably one of the few here who has every GOT season on Blu-ray. In stark contrast, I don't own any Star Wars movie on blu-ray, let alone 4K. 

Kind of ironic that a test pilot- a profession with a staggeringly high mortality rate- lived to ninety seven!

Meh, not a fan of Bloomkamp. District 9 is one of the most overrated movies of the century, Elysium was pretty dull and Chappie was terrible.

You guys and your bogus conspiracy theories! Hollywood has always romanticized the suburbs: The big ass freestanding houses, the beautiful trafficless tree lanes, the happy dog in the yard, carefree kids playing outside on their BMX bikes, the swimming pool, ... 
 

 
It's a place where it's always 'golden hour' and that aliens love to visit. 

Heck, Paul Verhoeven made an erotic thriller with Isabelle Huppert so anything goes.
